யாக்கோபு சுக்கோத்துக்குப் பிரயாணம்பண்ணி, தனக்கு ஒரு வீடு கட்டி, தன் மிருகஜீவன்களுக்குக் கொட்டாரங்களைப் போட்டான்; அதினாலே அந்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குச் சுக்கோத் என்று பேரிட்டான்.
