சேனாபதி பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நான் மிகுந்த திரவியத்தினாலே இந்தச் சிலாக்கியத்தைச் சம்பாதித்தேன் என்றான். அதற்குப் பவுல்: நானோ அந்தச் சிலாக்கியத்திற்குரியவனாகப் பிறந்தேன் என்றான்.

அதிகாரி, “நான் ரோமக் குடிமகன் ஆவதற்கு மிகுந்த பணம் செலுத்த வேண்டியதா யிற்று” என்றான். ஆனால் பவுல், “நான் பிறப்பால் குடிமகன்” என்றான்.
