আহাব তাঁর শাসনকালে যা কিছু করেছিলেন সে সবই ‘ইস্রায়েলের রাজাদের ইতিহাস’ গ্রন্থে লিপিবদ্ধ আছে| এই গ্রন্থে আহাব কি ভাবে হাতির দাঁত দিয়ে তাঁর রাজপ্রাসাদ সাজিযে ছিলেন সে কথা ছাড়াও আহাবের বানানো শহরগুলির সম্পর্কেও লেখা আছে|
