Leviticus 4:11
কিন্তু যাজক অবশ্যই ষাঁড়টির চামড়া, ভেতরের অংশগুলো এবং শরীরের বর্য়্জ পদার্থ এবং মাথা ও পাযের সমস্ত মাংস সরিয়ে রাখবে| যাজক সেই সব অংশ তাঁবুর বাইরে বিশেষ জায়গায়-যেখানে ছাইগুলো ঢেলে রাখা হয়, সেখানে বয়ে নিয়ে আসবে|

যাজক অবশ্যই এই ষাঁড়টিকে শিবিরের বাইরে আনবে এবং তা পোড়াবে, যেমনভাবে সে প্রথম ষাঁড়কে পুড়িয়েছিল| সমগ্র সম্প্রদাযের পক্ষে এটাই হল পাপ মোচনের নৈবেদ্য|

কিন্তু যদি পাপ মোচনের নৈবেদ্যর রক্ত সমাগম তাঁবুর মধ্যে আনা হয় এবং সেই পবিত্র স্থানে লোকদের শুচি করার জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয়, তাহলে সেই পাপ মোচনের নৈবেদ্য আগুনে পুড়িয়ে নিতে হবে| যাজকরা সেই পাপ নৈবেদ্য অবশ্যই খাবে না|

এরপর মোশি পাপ মোচন নৈবেদ্যর ষাঁড়টিকে নিয়ে এল| পাপ মোচন নৈবেদ্যর ষাঁড়ের মাথার ওপর হারোণ ও তার পুত্ররা হাত রাখল|

সেইজন্য হারোণ বেদীর সামনে এসে পাপমোচনের নৈবেদ্যর জন্য ষাঁড়টাকে হত্যা করলো| এই পাপমোচনের নৈবেদ্য তার নিজেরই জন্য|
Leviticus 16:27
“পাপমোচনের নৈবেদ্যর ষাঁড় ও ছাগলটিকে শিবিরের বাইরে আনতে হবে| (ঐ সমস্ত প্রাণীর রক্ত পবিত্র জিনিসগুলিকে পবিত্র জায়গায় শুচি করার জন্য আনা হয়েছিল|) যাজকরা অবশ্যই ঐ সমস্ত প্রাণীর চামড়া, শরীর এবং শরীরের বর্য়্জ অংশগুলি আগুনে পোড়াবে|
Psalm 103:12
পূর্ব য়েমন পশ্চিমের থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন, তেমন করেই ঈশ্বর, আমাদের কাছ থেকে আমাদের পাপকে বিচ্ছিন্ন করে নিয়ে গেছেন|

মহাযাজক পশুদের রক্ত নিয়ে মন্দিরের মহাপবিত্রস্থানে য়েতেন পাপের বলি হিসেবে; কিন্তু পশুদের দেহগুলি শিবিরের বাইরে পুড়িয়ে ফেলা হত৷
