এতে সমস্ত শহরে বিশৃঙ্খলা দেখা দিল৷ সকলে একসঙ্গে রঙ্গভূমির দিকে ছুটল, তারা তাদের সঙ্গে টানতে টানতে নিয়ে চলল গায় ও আরিষ্টার্খ নামে দুজন মাকিদনিয়ান লোককে, যাঁরা পৌলের সঙ্গী ছিলেন৷
