Acts 4 in Bengali

1 পিতর ও য়োহন যখন লোকদের সাথে কথা বলছিলেন, তখন মন্দির থেকে ইহুদী যাজকরা, মন্দিরের রক্ষীবাহিনীর সেনাপতি ও সদ্দূকীরা তাঁদের কাছে এসে হাজির হল৷

2 পিতর ও য়োহন লোকদের শিক্ষা দিচ্ছিলেন ও মৃতদের মধ্য থেকে যীশুর পুনরুত্থানের বিষয়ে লোকদের কাছে বলছিলেন বলে ঐ লোকেরা বিরক্ত হয়েছিল৷

3 তারা পিতর ও য়োহনকে গ্রেপ্তার করে নিয়ে গেল ও পরের দিন পর্যন্ত তাদের কারাগারে রাখল; কারণ তখন সন্ধ্যা হয়ে গিয়েছিল৷

4 কিন্তু অনেকে যাঁরা পিতর ও য়োহনের মুখ থেকে সেই শিক্ষা শুনেছিল, তাদের মধ্যে অনেকেই যীশুর উপর বিশ্বাস করল৷ যাঁরা বিশ্বাস করল, সেই বিশ্বাসীদের মধ্যে পুরুষ মানুষই ছিল প্রায় পাঁচ হাজার৷

5 পরের দিন তাদের ইহুদী নেতারা, সমাজপতি ও ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকরা সকলে জেরুশালেমে জড়ো হলেন৷

6 সেখানে হানন মহাযাজক, কাযাফা, য়োহন, আলেকসান্দার ও মহাযাজকের পরিবারের সব লোক ছিলেন৷

7 পিতর ও য়োহনকে তাদের সামনে দাঁড় করিয়ে ইহুদী নেতারা প্রশ্ন করলেন, ‘তোমরা কোন্ শক্তিতে বা অধিকারে এসব কাজ করছ?’

8 তখন পিতর পবিত্র আত্মায় পরিপূর্ণ হয়ে তাঁদের বললেন, ‘মাননীয় জন-নেতৃবৃন্দ ও সমাজপতিরা:

9 একজন খোঁড়া লোকের উপকার করার জন্য যদি আজ আমাদের প্রশ্ন করা হয় য়ে সে কিভাবে সুস্থ হল,

10 তাহলে আপনারা সকলে ও ইস্রায়েলের সকল লোক একথা জানুক, য়ে এটা সেই নাসরতীয় যীশু খ্রীষ্টের শক্তিতে হল! যাকে আপনারা ক্রুশে বিদ্ধ করে হত্যা করেছিলেন, ঈশ্বর তাকে মৃতদের মধ্য থেকে পুনরুত্থিত করেছেন৷ হ্যাঁ, তাঁরই মাধ্যমে এই লোক আজ সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ হয়ে আপনাদের সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে৷

11 যীশু হলেন‘সেই পাথর যাকে রাজমিস্ত্রিরা অর্থাত্ আপনারা অগ্রাহ্য় করে সরিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন৷ তিনিই এখন কোণের প্রধান পাথর হয়ে উঠেছেন৷’

12 যীশুই একমাত্র ব্যক্তি, যিনি মানুষকে উদ্ধার করতে পারেন৷ জগতে তাঁর নামই একমাত্র শক্তি যা মানুষকে উদ্ধার করতে পারে৷’

13 পিতর ও য়োহনের নির্ভীকতা দেখে ও তাঁরা য়ে লেখাপড়া না জানা সাধারণ মানুষ তা বুঝতে পেরে পর্ষদ আশ্চর্য হয়ে গেল৷ তখন তারা বুঝতে পারল য়ে পিতর ও য়োহন যীশুর সঙ্গে ছিলেন৷

14 য়ে লোকটি সুস্থ হয়েছিল, সে পিতর ও য়োহনের সঙ্গে আছে দেখে পর্ষদ কিছুই বলতে পারল না৷

15 তারা পিতর ও য়োহনকে সভাকক্ষ থেকে বাইরে য়েতে বলল৷ তাঁরা বাইরে গেলে নেতৃবর্গ নিজেদের মধ্যে আলোচনা করে বলল,

16 ‘এই লোকদের নিয়ে কি করা যায়? কারণ এটা ঠিক য়ে ওরা য়ে উল্লেখয়োগ্য অলৌকিক কাজ করেছে তা জেরুশালেমের সকল লোক জেনে গেছে; আর আমরাও একথা অস্বীকার করতে পারি না৷

17 কিন্তু একথা য়েন লোকদের মধ্যে আর না ছড়ায়, তাই এস আমরা এদের ভয় দেখিয়ে সাবধান করে দিই, য়েন এই লোকের নামের বিষয় উল্লেখ করে তারা কোন কথা না বলে৷’

18 তাই তারা পিতর ও য়োহনকে আবার ভেতরে ডাকল; আর যীশুর নামে কোন কিছু বলতে বা শিক্ষা দিতে নিষেধ করল৷

19 কিন্তু পিতর ও য়োহন এর উত্তরে তাদের বললেন, ‘আপনারাই বিচার করুন, ঈশ্বরের বাক্যকে অমান্য করা বা আপনাদের বাধ্য থাকা কোনটি ঈশ্বরের দৃষ্টিতে সঠিক হবে?

20 কারণ আমরা যা দেখেছি ও শুনেছি তা না বলে থাকতে পারব না৷’

21 এরপর তারা পিতর ও য়োহনকে আরো কিছুক্ষণ শাসিয়ে ছেড়ে দিল৷

22 তারা ওদের শাস্তি দেবার মতো কোন কিছুই পেল না, কারণ যা ঘটেছিল তা দেখে সব লোক ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা করছিল৷ আর য়ে লোকটির ওপর আরোগ্যদানের এই অলৌকিক কাজ হয়েছিল, তার বয়স চল্লিশের ওপর ছিল৷

23 পিতর ও য়োহন ছাড়া পেয়ে নিজের লোকদের কাছে ফিরে গেলেন; আর প্রধান যাজকগণ ও ইহুদী নেতারা তাদের যা যা বলেছিলেন, সে সব কথা তাঁদের বললেন৷

24 একথা শুনে বিশ্বাসীরা সকলে সমবেত কণ্ঠে ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশ্যে এই প্রার্থনা জানাল, ‘প্রভু, আকাশমণ্ডল, পৃথিবী, সমুদ্র আর এসবের মধ্যে যা কিছু আছে সে সব কিছুর সৃষ্টিকর্তা, তুমিই৷

25 তুমি তোমার দাস আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষ দাযূদের মুখ দিয়ে পবিত্র আত্মার দ্বারা বলেছ:‘জাতিবৃন্দ কেন ক্রুদ্ধ হল? কেনই বা লোকেরা ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে অসার পরিকল্পনা করল?

26 জগতের রাজারা যুদ্ধের জন্য প্রস্তুত হল, আর শাসকেরা প্রভু ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে ও তাঁর খ্রীষ্টের বিরুদ্ধে এক হল৷’গীতসংহিতা 2:1-2

27 হ্যাঁ, এই শহরেই তোমার পবিত্র দাস যীশুর বিরুদ্ধে, যাকে তুমি অভিষিক্ত করেছ তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে হেরোদ, পন্তীয়, পীলাত, ইহুদীরা ও অইহুদীরা এক হয়েছিল৷

28 তোমার শক্তিতে ও তোমার ইচ্ছায় পূর্বেই যা ঘটবে বলে তুমি ঠিক করেছিলে, সেই কাজ করতেই তারা একত্র হয়েছিল৷

29 আর এখন, হে প্রভু, তাদের এই শাসানি তুমি শোন৷ প্রভু আমরা তোমার দাস; তোমার এই দাসদের সাহসের সঙ্গে তোমার কথা বলবার ক্ষমতা দাও৷

30 লোককে সুস্থতা দেবার জন্য তোমার হাত তুমি বাড়িয়ে দাও; তোমার পবিত্র দাস যীশুর নামে য়েন অলৌকিক ও আশ্চর্য সব কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়৷’

31 সেই বিশ্বাসীরা প্রার্থনা শেষ করলে, তাঁরা য়েখানে একত্রিত হয়েছিলেন সেই জায়গা কেঁপে উঠল৷ তাঁরা সকলে পবিত্র আত্মায় পূর্ণ হলেন আর অসীম সাহসে ঈশ্বরের কথা বলতে লাগলেন৷

32 বিশ্বাসীদের সকলের হৃদয় ও মন এক ছিল৷ একজনও নিজের সম্পত্তির কোন কিছুই নিজের বলে মনে করতেন না, কিন্তু তাঁদের সকল জিনিস তাঁরা পরস্পর ভাগ করে দিতেন৷

33 প্রেরিতের মহাশক্তিতে মৃতদের মধ্য থেকে প্রভু যীশুর পুনরুত্থানের বিষয়ে সাক্ষ্য দিতেন; আর তাঁদের সকলের ওপর মহাআশীর্বাদ ছিল৷

34 তাঁদের দলের মধ্যে কারোর কোন কিছুর অভাব ছিল না, কারণ যাদেব জমি-জমা বা বাড়ি ছিল তাঁরা তা বিক্রি করে সেই সম্পত্তির মূল্য নিয়ে এসে প্রেরিতদের দিতেন৷

35 পরে যার য়েমন প্রযোজন, প্রেরিতরা তাকে তেমনি দিতেন৷

36 বিশ্বাসীবর্গের একজনের নাম ছিল য়োষেফ; প্রেরিতেরা তাঁকে বার্ণবা বলে ডাকতেন; এই নামের অর্থ ‘উত্‌সাহদাতা’৷ ইনি ছিলেন লেবীয়, কুপ্রীয়ে তাঁর জন্ম হয়৷

37 য়োষেফের একটি জমি ছিল, তিনি তা বিক্রি করে সেই টাকা নিয়ে এসে প্রেরিতদের কাছে দিলেন৷

1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
