মহারাজ অহশ্বেরশের পরেই গুরুত্বের দিক দিয়ে ছিল মর্দখযের স্থান| অন্যান্য ইহুদীরাও সকলে মর্দখয়কে খুবই সম্মান করতো| তারা মর্দখয়কে শ্রদ্ধা করতো কারণ মর্দখয় ইহুদীদের উন্নতির জন্য কঠিন পরিশ্রম করেছিলেন এবং সমস্ত ইহুদীদের জন্য শান্তি এনেছিলেন|
