মিশরে বসবাসকারী যিহূদার লোকদের জন্য প্রভুর বার্তা এসেছিল যিরমিয়র কাছে| যিহূদার লোকরা তখন মিশরের মিগ্দোলে, তফন্হেষে, নোফে এবং দক্ষিণ মিশরের শহরগুলিতে বসবাস করছিল| প্রভুর বার্তা ছিল:

তোমাদের নেতারা মিশরীয় শহর সোযনে গিয়েছে| এবং তোমাদের রাষ্ট্রদূতরা মিশরীয় শহর হানেষে গিয়েছে|

“মিশরে, মিগ্দোল শহরে, নোফে এবং তফন্হেষ শহরেও এই বার্তা ঘোষণা করে দাও| ‘যুদ্ধের জন্য প্রস্তুত হও| কেন? কারণ তোমাদের চারপাশের সমস্ত জাতিসমূহ তরবারি দ্বারা নিহত হচ্ছে|’

সেই দিন, দিনের বেলায় তফন্হেষে অন্ধকার নেমে আসবে| কারণ আমি সেই স্থানে মিশরের ক্ষমতা ভেঙ্গে দেব| মিশরের নির্ভিকতার গর্ব শেষ হবে| একটা মেঘ মিশরকে ঢেকে দেবে আর তার কন্যাদের বন্দী করা হবে|
