ঐ সব কিছু তক্ষুনি ঘটে গিয়েছিল| নবূখদ্নিত্‌সর মানবসমাজ থেকে দূরে চলে য়েতে বাধ্য হয়েছিলেন| তিনি গরুর মত ঘাস খেতে শুরু করেছিলেন| তাঁর শরীর শিশিরে ভিজে গিয়েছিল| তাঁর চুল লম্বা হয়ে ঈগল পাখীর পালকের মতো হয়ে গিয়েছিল এবং তাঁর নখ পাখীর নখের মতো বেড়ে গিয়েছিল|

রাজা যখন তাকালেন, তখন হঠাত্‌ একটি মানুষের হাত আবির্ভূত হয়েছিল এবং বাতি-স্তম্ভের কাছে দেওয়ালের পোঁচড়ার ওপর লিখতে শুরু করেছিল|

নবূখদ্নিত্‌সর লোকদের ছেড়ে চলে য়েতে বাধ্য হলেন| তাঁর মানসিকতাকে একটি পশুর মনের মত করা হয়েছিল| তিনি বন্য গাধাদের সাথে বাস করতে লাগলেন এবং গরুর মতো ঘাস খেতে লাগলেন| তাঁর শরীর শিশিরে ভিজে গেল| এসব তত দিন পর্য়ন্ত ঘটল যতদিন না তিনি বুঝলেন য়ে পরাত্‌পর সমস্ত মানুষের রাজত্বের ওপর কর্তৃত্ব করেন এবং যাকে খুশী রাজ্য দেন|

ইসাইয়া 30:14
তোমরা চীনামাটির বাসনের মতো ভেঙ্গে ছোট ছোট টুকরোয পরিণত হবে| এই টুকরোগুলি কোন কাজেই লাগবে না| তোমরা সেই টুকরোগুলোকে গরম কযলার টুকরো তোলার কাজে অথবা জলাশয থেকে জল আনার কাজে ব্যবহার করতে পারবে না|”
