আরো অনেক কিছু এই পৃথিবীতেই ঘটে থাকে যা অর্থহীন| কত সময়ে ভালো লোকের খারাপ হয় আবার খারাপ লোকের ভালো হয়| এর কোন মানে হয় না|

আমি এ সব কিছু গভীর ভাবে চিন্তা করেছিলাম| আমি দেখে ছিলাম ধার্মিক ও জ্ঞানী লোকরা যা করেন বা তাদের যা হয় সে সবই ঈশ্বরই নিয়ন্ত্রণ করেন| লোকরা জানে না তাদের ঘৃণা করা হবে, না ভালোবাসা হবে| লোকরা এও জানে না ভবিষ্যতে কি হবে|

ঐ অহঙ্কারী লোকরা প্রচণ্ড দুর্জন, কিন্তু ওরা ধনী এবং ওরা ক্রমশঃ আরো ধনী হয়ে উঠছে|

তারপর আমি ভেবেছিলাম, “লোকে কেন এত কঠিন পরিশ্রম করে?” আমি লক্ষ্য করেছিলাম য়ে লোকে সব সময় সফল হতে ও অন্য লোকদের থেকে ভালো হতে চেষ্টা করে| কেন? কারণ তারা ঈর্ষাপরায়ণ| তারা চায় না তার চেয়ে বেশী অন্য লোকে কিছু ভোগ করুক| এসবই অসার, হাওযার পেছনে ছোটা মাত্র|
Job 24:21
মন্দ লোকরা সন্তানহীন নারীদের আঘাত করে| তারা বিধ্বা নারীদের সাহায্য করতে অস্বীকার করে|

কিন্তু কতবার মন্দ লোকদের আলো নিভে যায়? কতবার মন্দ লোকদের ওপর দুর্গতি ঘনিয়ে আসে? কতবার ঈশ্বর রুদ্ধ হয়ে ওদের শাস্তি দেবেন?
