Ezra 9:2
ইস্রায়েলীযরা কনানীয, হিত্তীয়, পরিষীয়, যিবূষীয়, অম্মোনীয়, মোয়াবীয়, মিশরীয় এবং ইমোরীয় প্রভৃতি অন্য জাতির লোকদের অসত্ কার্য়্য়কলাপে প্রভাবিত| এই ভাবে তারা অন্য বংশের সঙ্গে বিবাহসূত্রে আবদ্ধ হয়| ইস্রায়েলীয় বিশেষ জন বলে গণ্য হবার কথা, কিন্তু এখন অন্তর্বিবাহের দরুণ তাদের অন্য জাতির সঙ্গে মিশ্রণ হয়েছে| ইস্রায়েলের নেতৃবর্গ ও প্রশাসকরাই এই ধরণের বিয়ে করে অপরাপরদের কাছে দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করেছে|”

তখন এলামের একজন উত্তরপুরুষ য়িহীযেলের পুত্র শখনিয়, ইষ্রাকে বলল, “আমরা ঈশ্বরের আদেশ অমান্য করেছি এবং আমাদের আশেপাশে বসবাসকারী অন্যান্য জাতির বংশের লোকদের সঙ্গে বৈবাহিক সম্বন্ধ স্থাপন করেছি, তবুও আমার মনে হয় এখনো ইস্রায়েলের সব আশা হারিযে যায়নি|

1 Corinthians 7:14
কারণ বিশ্বাসী স্ত্রীর মধ্য দিয়ে সেই অবিশ্বাসী স্বামী আর বিশ্বাসী স্বামীর মধ্য দিয়ে সেই অবিশ্বাসী স্ত্রী পবিত্রতা লাভ করে৷ তা না হলে তোমাদের ছেলে মেয়েরা অশুচি হত, কিন্তু এখন তারা পবিত্র৷
