Psalm 138
1 ঈশ্বর, আমার সর্বান্তঃকরণ দিয়ে আমি আপনার প্রশংসা করি| সব দেবতার সামনে আমি আপনার গান গাইবো|
2 ঈশ্বর, আপনার পবিত্র মন্দিরে আমি মাথা নত করে প্রণাম করি| আমি আপনার নাম প্রেম এবং নিষ্ঠার প্রশংসা করি| কারণ আপনার প্রতিশ্রুতি আপনার নামকে পৃথিবীর সব কিছুর উর্দ্ধে প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছে|
3 ঈশ্বর, আমি আপনার সাহায্য চেয়েছিলাম| আপনি আমায় সাড়া দিয়েছেন! আপনি আমায় শক্তি দিয়েছেন|
4 প্রভু, পৃথিবীর প্রত্যেকটা রাজা যখন শুনবে আপনি কি বলেন তখন তারা আপনার প্রশংসা করবে|
5 তারা প্রভুর পথের বন্দনা গান গাইবে কারণ প্রভুর মহিমা অত্যন্ত মহান|
6 যদিও ঈশ্বর মহিমান্বিত তথাপি তিনি নম্র ব্যক্তিদের সম্বন্ধে যত্ন নেন| আত্মগর্বী লোকরা কি করে তা ঈশ্বর জানেন, কিন্তু তিনি তাদের থেকে দূরে থাকেন|
7 হে ঈশ্বর, আমি সংকটে পড়েছি, আমায় বাঁচিয়ে রাখবেন| শত্রুরা যদি আমার প্রতি ক্রুদ্ধ হয়, ওদের হাত থেকে আমায় রক্ষা করবেন|
8 প্রভু, আপনি যা প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন সেই সব জিনিস আমায় দিন| প্রভু, আপনার প্রকৃত প্রেম চির বিরাজমান থাকে| প্রভু, আপনি আমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন| তাই আমাদের ছেড়ে যাবেন না|
1 A Psalm of David.
2 I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
3 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
4 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
5 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
6 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.
7 Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
8 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
9 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
