ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனுக்கு இருந்த பானபாத்திரங்களெல்லாம் பொன்னும், லீபனோன் வனம் என்கிற மாளிகையின் பணிமுட்டுகளெல்லாம் பசும்பொன்னுமாயிருந்தது; ஒன்றும் வெள்ளியினால் செய்யப்படவில்லை; சாலொமோனின் நாட்களில் வெள்ளி ஒரு பொருளாய் எண்ணப்படவில்லை.

அரசனின் பானபாத்திரங்கள் பொன்னால் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது. “லீபனோனின் காடு” எனும் மாளிகை பொருட்கள் எல்லாம் பசும்பொன்னால் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தன. எதுவும் வெள்ளியால் செய்யப்படவில்லை. காரணம் அவனது காலத்தில் வெள்ளி ஒரு பொருட்டாக மதிக்கப்படவில்லை!
