அப்பொழுது, உமது அடியாள் நித்திரைபண்ணுகையில், இவள் நடுஜாமத்தில் எழுந்து, என் பக்கத்திலே கிடக்கிற என் பிள்ளையை எடுத்து, தன் மார்பிலே கிடத்திக்கொண்டு, செத்த தன் பிள்ளையை எடுத்து, என் மார்பிலே கிடத்திவிட்டாள்;

அப்பொழுது, உமது அடியாள் தூங்கும்போது, இவள் நடுஇரவில் எழுந்து, என்னுடைய பக்கத்திலே கிடக்கிற என்னுடைய பிள்ளையை எடுத்து, தன்னுடைய மார்பிலே கிடத்திக்கொண்டு, செத்த தன்னுடைய பிள்ளையை எடுத்து, என்னுடைய மார்பிலே கிடத்திவிட்டாள்.

אֶת ʾēt ate
my son בְּנִ֣י bēn bane
from beside מֵֽאֶצְלִ֗י ʾēṣel ay-TSEL
me, while thine handmaid וַאֲמָֽתְךָ֙ ʾāmâ ah-MA
slept, יְשֵׁנָ֔ה yāšēn ya-SHANE
and laid וַתַּשְׁכִּיבֵ֖הוּ šākab sha-HAHV
it in her bosom, בְּחֵיקָ֑הּ ḥêq hake
וְאֶת ʾēt ate
child בְּנָ֥הּ bēn bane
her dead הַמֵּ֖ת mût moot
and laid הִשְׁכִּ֥יבָה šākab sha-HAHV
in my bosom. בְחֵיקִֽי׃ ḥêq hake
