1 Samuel 19 in Tamil

1 தாவீதைக் கொன்றுபோடும்படிக்கு, சவுல் தன் குமாரனாகிய யோனத்தானோடும் தன் ஊழியக்காரர் எல்லாரோடும் பேசினான். And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David.

2 சவுலின் குமாரனாகிய யோனத்தானோ, தாவீதின்மேல் மிகவும் பிரியமாயிருந்தான்; அதனால் யோனத்தான் தாவீதுக்கு அதை அறிவித்து: என் தகப்பனாகிய சவுல் உம்மைக் கொன்று போட வகைதேடுகிறார்; இப்போதும் நாளைக்காலமே நீர் எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து, மறைவான இடத்தில் ஒளித்துக்கொண்டிரும். But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:

3 நான் புறப்பட்டுவந்து, நீர் வெளியிலிருக்கும் இடத்தில் என் தகப்பன் பக்கத்திலே நின்று, உமக்காக என் தகப்பனோடே பேசி, நடக்கும் காரியத்தைக் கண்டு, உமக்கு அறிவிப்பேன் என்றான். And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell thee.

4 அப்படியே யோனத்தான் தன் தகப்பனாகிய சவுலோடே தாவீதுக்காக நலமாய்ப் பேசி, ராஜா தம்முடைய அடியானாகிய தாவீதுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்யாதிருப்பாராக; அவன் உமக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவஞ்செய்யவில்லை; அவன் செய்கைகள் உமக்கு மெத்த உபயோகமாயிருக்கிறதே. And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:

For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it, and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?

6 சவுல் யோனத்தனுடைய சொல்லைக் கேட்டு: அவன் கொலைசெய்யப்படுவதில்லை என்று கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிட்டான். And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the LORD liveth, he shall not be slain.

7 பின்பு யோனத்தான் தாவீதை அழைத்து, அந்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் அவனுக்கு அறிவித்து, அவனைச் சவுலண்டையிலே கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய் விட்டான்; அப்படியே அவன் முன் போலவே அவனுடைய சமுகத்தில் இருந்தான். And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan showed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in times past.

8 மறுபடியும் ஒரு யுத்தம் உண்டாயிற்று; அப்பொழுது தாவீது புறப்பட்டுப் போய், பெலிஸ்தரோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணி, அவர்களுக்குள் மகா சங்காரம்பண்ணினதினால் அவர்கள் அவனுக்கு முன்பாக முறிந்தோடிப்போனார்கள். And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him.

And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

10 அப்பொழுது சவுல்: தாவீதை ஈட்டியினாலே சுவரோடே சேர்த்து உருவக்குத்திப்போடப் பார்த்தான்; ஆனாலும் இவன் சவுலுக்கு விலகினதினாலே, அவன் எறிந்த ஈட்டி சுவரிலே பட்டது; தாவீதோ அன்று இராத்திரி ஓடிப்போய், தன்னைத் தப்புவித்துக்கொண்டான். And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin: but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.

11 தாவீதைக் காவல்பண்ணி, மறுநாள் காலமே அவனைக் கொன்று போடும்படிக்கு, சவுல் அவன் வீட்டிற்குச் சேவகரை அனுப்பினான்; இதைத் தாவீதுக்கு அவன் மனைவியாகிய மீகாள் அறிவித்து: நீ இன்று இராத்திரியில் உம்முடைய பிராணனைத் தப்புவித்துக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால், நாளைக்கு நீ கொன்றுபோடப்படுவீர் என்று சொல்லி, Saul also sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David's wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.

12 மீகாள் தாவீதை ஜன்னல்வழியாய் இறக்கிவிட்டாள்; அவன் தப்பி ஓடிப்போனான். So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.

13 மீகாளோ ஒரு சுரூபத்தை எடுத்து, கட்டிலின்மேல் வைத்து, அதின் தலைமாட்டிலே ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுத்தோலைப்போட்டு, துப்பட்டியினால் மூடிவைத்தாள். And Michal took an image, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats' hair for his bolster, and covered it with a cloth.

14 தாவீதைக் கொண்டுவரச் சவுல் சேவகரை அனுப்பினபோது, அவர் வியாதியாயிருக்கிறார் என்றாள். And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick.

15 அப்பொழுது தாவீதைப் பார்க்கிறதற்குச் சவுல் சேவகரை அனுப்பி, அவனைக் கொன்றுபோடும்படிக்கு, கட்டிலோடே அவனை என்னிடத்திற்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவாருங்கள் என்றான். And Saul sent the messengers again to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him.

16 சேவகர் வந்தபோது, இதோ, சுரூபம் கட்டிலின்மேலும், வெள்ளாட்டுத்தோல் அதின் தலைமாட்டிலும் கிடக்கக் கண்டார்கள். And when the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow of goats' hair for his bolster.

17 அப்பொழுது சவுல்: நீ இப்படி என்னை ஏய்த்து, என் பகைஞனைத் தப்பவிட்டு அனுப்பினது என்ன என்று மீகாளிடத்தில் கேட்டான். மீகாள் சவுலை நோக்கி: என்னைப் போகவிடு, நான் உன்னை ஏன் கொல்லவேண்டும் என்று அவர் என்னிடத்தில் சொன்னார் என்றாள். And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?

18 தாவீது தப்பி, ராமாவிலிருந்த சாமுவேலிடத்திற்குப் போய், சவுல் தனக்குச் செய்தது எல்லாவற்றையும் அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தான்; பின்பு அவனும் சாமுவேலும் போய், நாயோதிலே தங்கியிருந்தார்கள். So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.

19 தாவீது ராமாவுக்கடுத்த நாயோதிலே இருக்கிறான் என்று சவுலுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.

20 அப்பொழுது சவுல்: தாவீதைக் கொண்டுவரச் சேவகரை அனுப்பினான்; அவர்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் கூட்டத்தையும், சாமுவேல் அவர்களின் தலைவனாக நிற்கிறதையும் கண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது சவுலினுடைய சேவகΰின்மேல͠தேவனுடைய ஆவி இறங்கினதினால் அவர்களும் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்னார்கள். And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

21 இது சவுலுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டபோது, அவன் வேறே சேவகரை அனுப்பினான்; அவர்களும் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்னார்கள்; மூன்றாந்தரமும் சவுல் சேவகரை அனுப்பினான்; அவர்களும் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்னார்கள். And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.

22 அப்பொழுது அவனும் ராமாவுக்குப் போய், சேக்குவிலிருக்கிற பெரிய கிணற்றண்டையிலே வந்து, சாமுவேலும் தாவீதும் எங்கே என்று கேட்டான்; அதோ ராமாவுக்கடுத்த நாயோதிலே இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று சொல்லப்பட்டது. Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.

23 அப்பொழுது ரமாவுக்கடுத்த நாயோதிற்குப் போனான்; அவன் மேலும் தேவனுடைய ஆவி இறங்கினதினால் அவன் ராமாவுக்கடுத்த நாயோதிலே சேருமட்டும், தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே நடந்துவந்து, And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

24 தானும் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைக் கழற்றிப்போட்டு, சாமுவேலுக்கு முன்பாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லி, அன்று பகல் முழுவதும் இராமுழுவதும் வஸ்திரம் இல்லாமல் விழுந்துகிடந்தான்; ஆகையினாலே சவுலும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவனோ என்பார்கள். And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?

1 Thaaveethaik kontupodumpatikku, savul than kumaaranaakiya yonaththaanodum than ooliyakkaarar ellaarodum paesinaan. And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David.

2 Savulin kumaaranaakiya yonaththaano, thaaveethinmael mikavum piriyamaayirunthaan; athanaal yonaththaan Davidkku athai ariviththu: en thakappanaakiya savul ummaik kontu poda vakaithaedukiraar; ippothum naalaikkaalamae neer echcharikkaiyaayirunthu, maraivaana idaththil oliththukkonntirum. But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:

3 Naan purappattuvanthu, neer veliyilirukkum idaththil en thakappan pakkaththilae nintu, umakkaaka en thakappanotae paesi, nadakkum kaariyaththaik kanndu, umakku arivippaen entan. And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell thee.

4 Appatiyae yonaththaan than thakappanaakiya savulotae Davidkkaaka nalamaayp paesi, raajaa thammutaiya atiyaanaakiya Davidkku virothamaayp paavanjaெyyaathiruppaaraaka; avan umakku virothamaakap paavanjaெyyavillai; avan seykaikal umakku meththa upayokamaayirukkirathae. 5 Avan than piraananaith than kaiyilae vaiththukkonndu, anthap pelisthanaik kontathinaalae, Karththar isravaelukkellaam periya iratchippaik kattalaiyittathai neer kanndu, santhoshappattirae; ippothum mukaantharamillaamal thaaveethaik kollukirathinaal, kuttamillaatha iraththaththirku virothamaaka neer paavanjaெyvaanaen entan. 7 Pinpu yonaththaan thaaveethai alaiththu, antha vaarththaikalaiyellaam avanukku ariviththu, avanaich savulanntaiyilae koottikkonndupoy vittan; appatiyae avan mun polavae avanutaiya samukaththil irunthaan. And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan showed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in times past.

8 Maraுpatiyum oru yuththam unndaayittaு; appoluthu David purappattup poy, pelistharotae yuththampannnni, avarkalukkul makaa sangaarampannnninathinaal avarkal avanukku munpaaka murinthotipponaarkal. And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him.

9 Karththaraal vidappatta pollaatha aavi savulinmael vanthathu; avan than veettil utkaarnthu, than eettiyaik kaiyilae pitiththukkonntirunthaan; David than kaiyinaalae suramanndalam vaasiththaan. And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

10 Appoluthu savul: thaaveethai eettiyinaalae suvarotae serththu uruvakkuththippodap paarththaan; aanaalum ivan savulukku vilakinathinaalae, avan erintha eetti suvarilae pattathu; thaaveetho antu iraaththiri otippoy, thannaith thappuviththukkonndaan. And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin: but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.

11 Thaaveethaik kaavalpannnni, maraுnaal kaalamae avanaik kontu podumpatikku, savul avan veettirkuch sevakarai anuppinaan; ithaith Davidkku avan manaiviyaakiya meekaal ariviththu: nee intu iraaththiriyil ummutaiya piraananaith thappuviththuk kollaavittal, naalaikku nee kontupodappaduveer entu solli, Saul also sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David's wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.

12 Meekaal thaaveethai jannalvaliyaay irakkivittal; avan thappi otipponaan. So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.

13 Meekaalo oru suroopaththai eduththu, kattilinmael vaiththu, athin thalaimaattilae oru vellaattuththolaippottu, thuppattiyinaal mootivaiththaal. And Michal took an image, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats' hair for his bolster, and covered it with a cloth.

14 Thaaveethaik konnduvarach savul sevakarai anuppinapothu, avar viyaathiyaayirukkiraar ental. And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick.

15 Appoluthu thaaveethaip paarkkiratharkuch savul sevakarai anuppi, avanaik kontupodumpatikku, kattilotae avanai ennidaththirku eduththukkonnduvaarungal entan. And Saul sent the messengers again to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him.

16 Sevakar vanthapothu, itho, suroopam kattilinmaelum, vellaattuththol athin thalaimaattilum kidakkak kanndaarkal. And when the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow of goats' hair for his bolster.

17 Appoluthu savul: nee ippati ennai aeyththu, en pakainjanaith thappavittu anuppinathu enna entu meekaalidaththil kaettan. Meekaal savulai Nnokki: ennaip pokavidu, naan unnai aen kollavaenndum entu avar ennidaththil sonnaar ental. And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?

18 David thappi, raamaaviliruntha saamuvaelidaththirkup poy, savul thanakkuch seythathu ellaavattaைyum avanukku ariviththaan; pinpu avanum saamuvaelum poy, naayothilae thangiyirunthaarkal. So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.

19 David raamaavukkaduththa naayothilae irukkiraan entu savulukku arivikkappattathu. And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.

20 Appoluthu savul: thaaveethaik konnduvarach sevakarai anuppinaan; avarkal theerkkatharisanam sollukira theerkkatharisikalin koottaththaiyum, saamuvael avarkalin thalaivanaaka nirkirathaiyum kanndaarkal; appoluthu savulinutaiya sevakaΰிnmaela͠thaevanutaiya aavi iranginathinaal avarkalum theerkkatharisanam sonnaarkal. And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

21 Ithu savulukku arivikkappattapothu, avan vaeraே sevakarai anuppinaan; avarkalum theerkkatharisanam sonnaarkal; moontantharamum savul sevakarai anuppinaan; avarkalum theerkkatharisanam sonnaarkal. And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.

22 Appoluthu avanum raamaavukkup poy, sekkuvilirukkira periya kinattanntaiyilae vanthu, saamuvaelum Davidm engae entu kaettan; atho raamaavukkaduththa naayothilae irukkiraarkal entu sollappattathu. Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.

23 Appoluthu ramaavukkaduththa naayothirkup ponaan; avan maelum thaevanutaiya aavi iranginathinaal avan raamaavukkaduththa naayothilae serumattum, theerkkatharisanam sollikkonntae nadanthuvanthu, And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

24 Thaanum than vasthirangalaik kalattippottu, saamuvaelukku munpaakath theerkkatharisanam solli, antu pakal muluvathum iraamuluvathum vasthiram illaamal vilunthukidanthaan; aakaiyinaalae savulum theerkkatharisikalil oruvano enpaarkal. And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
