சாதோக்கின் குமாரனாகிய அகிமாஸ் இன்னும் யோவாபை நோக்கி: எப்படியானாலும் கூஷியின் பிறகாலே நானும் ஓடட்டுமே என்று திரும்பக் கேட்டதற்கு, யோவாப்: என் மகனே, சொல்லும்படிக்கு உனக்கு நல்லசெய்தி இல்லாதிருக்கையில், நீ ஓடவேண்டியது என்ன என்றான்.

ஆனால் சாதோக்கின் மகனாகிய அகிமாஸ் யோவாபை மீண்டும் வேண்டியவனாய், “எது நடந்தாலும் பரவாயில்லை. கூஷியன் பின்னால் ஓட என்னை அனுமதியுங்கள்!” என்றான். யோவாப், “மகனே, ஏன் நீ செய்தியைக் கொண்டுபோக வேண்டும் என நினைக்கிறாய்? நீ கூறப்போகும் செய்திக்கு எந்தப் பரிசையும் பெறமாட்டாய்” என்றான்.

சாதோக்கின் மகன் அகிமாசு மீண்டும் யோவாபிடம் “என்ன நேரிடினும் நானும் கூசியனின் பின் ஓட எனக்கு அனுமதி தாரும்’ என்று கேட்டான். “மகனே! இச்செய்தியைச் சொல்வதனால், உனக்கு எப்பரிசும் கிடைக்கப்போவதில்லை. பின் ஏன் நீ ஓட வேண்டும்?” என்று யோவாபு பதில் கூறினார்.

Saathokkin kumaaranaakiya akimaas innum yovaapai Nnokki: eppatiyaanaalum kooshiyin pirakaalae naanum odattumae entu thirumpak kaettatharku, yovaap: en makanae, sollumpatikku unakku nallaseythi illaathirukkaiyil, nee odavaenntiyathu enna entan.
