2 Samuel 5 in Tamil

1 அக்காலத்திலே இஸ்ரவேலின் கோத்திரங்களெல்லாம் எப்ரோனிலிருக்கிற தாவீதினிடத்தில் வந்து: இதோ, நாங்கள் உம்முடைய எலும்பும் உம்முடைய மாம்சமுமானவர்கள். Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.

2 சவுல் எங்கள்மேல் ராஜாவாயிருக்கும்போதே இஸ்ரவேலை நடத்திக்கொண்டுபோனவரும் நடத்திகொண்டு வந்தவரும் நீரே; கர்த்தர்: என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலை நீ மேய்த்து, நீ இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் தலைவனாயிருப்பாய் என்று உம்மிடத்தில் சொன்னாரே என்றார்கள். Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.

3 இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பர் எல்லாரும் எப்ரோனில் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள்; தாவீதுராஜா எப்ரோனிலே கர்த்தருக்குமுன்பாக அவர்களோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணினபின்பு, அவர்கள் தாவீதை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினார்கள். So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.

4 தாவீது ராஜாவாகும்போது, முப்பது வயதாயிருந்தான்; அவன் நாற்பது வருஷம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணினான். David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.

5 அவன் எப்ரோனிலே யூதாவின்மேல் ஏழு வருஷமும் ஆறு மாதமும், எருசலேமிலே சமஸ்த இஸ்ரவேலின்மேலும் யூதாவின்மேலும் முப்பத்துமூன்று வருஷமும் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணினான். In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.

6 தேசத்திலே குடியிருக்கிற எபூசியர்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ண ராஜாவானவன் தன் மனுஷரோடேகூட எருசலேமுக்குப் போனான் அவர்கள்: இதிலே பிரவேசிக்க தாவீதினால் கூடாது என்று எண்ணி, தாவீதை நோக்கி: நீ இதற்குள் பிரவேசிப்பதில்லை; குருடரும் சப்பாணிகளும் உன்னைத் தடுப்பார்கள் என்று சொன்னார்கள். And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.

7 ஆனாலும் தாவீது சீயோன் கோட்டையைப் பிடித்தான்; அது தாவீதின் நகரமாயிற்று. Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.

8 எவன் சாலகத்தின் வழியாய் ஏறி, எபூசியரையும் தாவீதின் ஆத்துமா பகைக்கிற சப்பாணிகளையும், குருடரையும் முறிய அடிக்கிறானோ, அவன் தலைவனாயிருப்பான் என்று தாவீது அன்றையதினம் சொல்லியிருந்தான்; அதனால் குருடனும் சப்பாணியும் வீட்டிலே வரலாகாது என்று சொல்லுகிறதுண்டு. And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.

9 அந்தக் கோட்டையிலே தாவீது வாசம்பண்ணி, அதற்குத் தாவீதின் நகரம் என்று பேரிட்டு, மில்லோ என்னும் ஸ்தலந்துவக்கி, உட்புறமட்டும் சுற்றிலுமிருக்கிற மதிலைக் கட்டினான். So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.

10 தாவீது நாளுக்குநாள் விருத்தியடைந்தான்; சேனைகளின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவனோடேகூட இருந்தார். And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.

11 தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராம் தாவீதினிடத்தில் ஸ்தானாபதிகளையும் கேதுருமரங்களையும், தச்சரையும், கல்தச்சரையும் அனுப்பினான்; அவர்கள் தாவீதுக்கு ஒரு வீட்டைக் கட்டினார்கள். And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David an house.

12 கர்த்தர் தன்னை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாகத் திடப்படுத்தி, தம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலினிமித்தம் தன்னுடைய ராஜ்யத்தை உயர்த்தினார் என்று தாவீது கண்டறிந்தபோது, And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.

13 அவன் எப்ரோனிலிருந்து வந்தபின்பு, எருசலேமில் இன்னும் அதிகமான மறுமனையாட்டிகளையும் ஸ்திரீகளையும் கொண்டான்; இன்னும் அதிக குமாரரும் குமாரத்திகளும் தாவீதுக்குப் பிறந்தார்கள். And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.

14 எருசலேமில் அவனுக்குச் சம்முவா, சோபா, நாத்தான், சாலொமோன். And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammuah, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,

15 இப்பார், எலிசூவா, நெப்பேக், யப்பியா, Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

16 எலிஷாமா, எலியாதா, எலிப்பேலேத் என்னும் பேர்களையுடைய குமாரர் பிறந்தார்கள். And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.

17 தாவீதை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினார்கள் என்று பெலிஸ்தர் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் தாவீதைத் தேடும்படிவந்தார்கள்; அதைத் தாவீது கேட்டபோது, ஒரு அரணிப்பான இடத்துக்குப்போனான். But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.

18 பெலிஸ்தரோ வந்து, ரெப்பாயீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே பரவியிருந்தார்கள். The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

19 பெலிஸ்தருக்கு விரோதமாய்ப்போகலாமா, அவர்களை என் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பீரா என்று தாவீது கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசாரித்தபோது, கர்த்தர்: போ, பெலிஸ்தரை உன் கையில் நிச்சயமாய் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன் என்று தாவீதுக்குச் சொன்னார். And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.

20 தாவீது பாகால் பிராசீமுக்கு வந்து, அங்கே அவர்களை முறிய அடித்து, தண்ணீர்கள் உடைத்தோடுகிறதுபோல, கர்த்தர் என் சத்துருக்களை எனக்கு முன்பாக உடைத்து ஓடப்பண்ணினார் என்று சொல்லி, அதினிமித்தம் அந்த ஸ்தலத்திற்குப் பாகால்பிராசீம் என்று பேரிட்டான். And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.

21 அங்கே பெலிஸ்தர் தங்கள் விக்கிரகங்களைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போனார்கள்; அவைகளைத் தாவீதும் அவன் மனுஷரும் சுட்டெரித்தார்கள். And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.

22 பெலிஸ்தர் திரும்பவும் வந்து, ரெப்பாயீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே இறங்கினார்கள். And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

23 தாவீது கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசாரித்ததற்கு, அவர்: நீ நேராய்ப் போகாமல், அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னாலே சுற்றி, முசுக்கட்டைச் செடிகளுக்கு எதிரேயிருந்து, அவர்கள்மேல் பாய்ந்து, And when David inquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.

24 முசுக்கட்டைச் செடிகளின் துணிகளிலே செல்லுகிற இரைச்சலை நீ கேட்கும்போது, சீக்கிரமாய் எழும்பிப்போ; அப்பொழுது பெலிஸ்தரின் பாளயத்தைமுறிய அடிக்க, கர்த்தர் உனக்கு முன்பாகப் புறப்பட்டிருப்பார் என்றார். And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.

25 கர்த்தர் தாவீதுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபிரகாரம் அவன் செய்து, பெலிஸ்தரைக் கேபா துவக்கிக் கேசேர் எல்லைமட்டும் முறிய அடித்தான். And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.

1 Akkaalaththilae isravaelin koththirangalellaam epronilirukkira thaaveethinidaththil vanthu: itho, naangal ummutaiya elumpum ummutaiya maamsamumaanavarkal. Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.

2 Savul engalmael raajaavaayirukkumpothae isravaelai nadaththikkonnduponavarum nadaththikonndu vanthavarum neerae; Karththar: en janamaakiya isravaelai nee maeyththu, nee isravaelinmael thalaivanaayiruppaay entu ummidaththil sonnaarae entarkal. Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.

3 Isravaelin mooppar ellaarum epronil raajaavinidaththil vanthaarkal; Davidraajaa epronilae karththarukkumunpaaka avarkalotae udanpatikkaipannnninapinpu, avarkal thaaveethai isravaelinmael raajaavaaka apishaekampannnninaarkal. So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.

4 David raajaavaakumpothu, muppathu vayathaayirunthaan; avan naarpathu varusham raajyapaarampannnninaan. David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.

5 Avan epronilae yoothaavinmael aelu varushamum aaraு maathamum, erusalaemilae samastha isravaelinmaelum yoothaavinmaelum muppaththumoontu varushamum raajyapaarampannnninaan. In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.

6 Thaesaththilae kutiyirukkira epoosiyarmael yuththampannna raajaavaanavan than manusharotaekooda erusalaemukkup ponaan avarkal: ithilae piravaesikka thaaveethinaal koodaathu entu ennnni, thaaveethai Nnokki: nee itharkul piravaesippathillai; kurudarum sappaannikalum unnaith thaduppaarkal entu sonnaarkal. And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.

7 Aanaalum David seeyon kottaைyaip pitiththaan; athu thaaveethin nakaramaayittaு. Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.

8 Evan saalakaththin valiyaay aeri, epoosiyaraiyum thaaveethin aaththumaa pakaikkira sappaannikalaiyum, kurudaraiyum muriya atikkiraano, avan thalaivanaayiruppaan entu David antaiyathinam solliyirunthaan; athanaal kurudanum sappaanniyum veettilae varalaakaathu entu sollukirathunndu. And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.

9 Anthak kottaைyilae David vaasampannnni, atharkuth thaaveethin nakaram entu paerittu, millo ennum sthalanthuvakki, utpuramattum suttilumirukkira mathilaik kattinaan. So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.

10 David naalukkunaal viruththiyatainthaan; senaikalin thaevanaakiya Karththar avanotaekooda irunthaar. And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.

11 Theeruvin raajaavaakiya eeraam thaaveethinidaththil sthaanaapathikalaiyum kaethurumarangalaiyum, thachcharaiyum, kalthachcharaiyum anuppinaan; avarkal Davidkku oru veettaைk kattinaarkal. And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David an house.

12 Karththar thannai isravaelinmael raajaavaakath thidappaduththi, thammutaiya janamaakiya isravaelinimiththam thannutaiya raajyaththai uyarththinaar entu David kanndarinthapothu, And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.

16 Elishaamaa, eliyaathaa, elippaelaeth ennum paerkalaiyutaiya kumaarar piranthaarkal. And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.

17 Thaaveethai isravaelinmael raajaavaaka apishaekampannnninaarkal entu pelisthar kaelvippattapothu avarkal ellaarum thaaveethaith thaedumpativanthaarkal; athaith David kaettapothu, oru arannippaana idaththukkupponaan. But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.

18 Pelistharo vanthu, reppaayeem pallaththaakkilae paraviyirunthaarkal. The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

19 Pelistharukku virothamaayppokalaamaa, avarkalai en kaiyil oppukkoduppeeraa entu David karththaridaththil visaariththapothu, Karththar: po, pelistharai un kaiyil nichchayamaay oppukkoduppaen entu Davidkkuch sonnaar. And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.

20 David paakaal piraaseemukku vanthu, angae avarkalai muriya atiththu, thannnneerkal utaiththodukirathupola, Karththar en saththurukkalai enakku munpaaka utaiththu odappannnninaar entu solli, athinimiththam antha sthalaththirkup paakaalpiraaseem entu paerittan. And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. 21 Angae pelisthar thangal vikkirakangalaivittu otipponaarkal; avaikalaith Davidm avan manusharum sutteriththaarkal. And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.

22 Pelisthar thirumpavum vanthu, reppaayeem pallaththaakkilae iranginaarkal. And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

23 David karththaridaththil visaariththatharku, avar: nee naeraayp pokaamal, avarkalukkup pinnaalae sutti, musukkattaைch setikalukku ethiraeyirunthu, avarkalmael paaynthu, And when David inquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.

24 Musukkattaைch setikalin thunnikalilae sellukira iraichchalai nee kaetkumpothu, seekkiramaay elumpippo; appoluthu pelistharin paalayaththaimuriya atikka, Karththar unakku munpaakap purappattiruppaar entar. And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.

25 Karththar Davidkkuk kattalaiyittapirakaaram avan seythu, pelistharaik kaepaa thuvakkik kaeser ellaimattum muriya atiththaan. And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.
