இந்த வார்த்தையினிமித்தம் மோசே ஓடிப்போய், மீதியான் தேசத்திலே சஞ்சரித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான்; அங்கே இருக்கும்போது அவனுக்கு இரண்டு குமாரர்கள் பிறந்தார்கள்.

அவன் இவ்வாறு கூறுவதைக் கேட்ட மோசே எகிப்தை விட்டுச் சென்றார். மீதியானில் வாழும்படியாகச் சென்றார். அவர் அங்கு அந்நியனாக இருந்தார். மீதியானில் இருந்தபோது, மோசேக்கு இரண்டு மகன்கள் பிறந்தனர்.
