Genesis 19 in Tamil

1 அந்த இரண்டு தூதரும் சாயங்காலத்திலே சோதோமுக்கு வந்தார்கள்; லோத்து சோதோமின் வாசலிலே உட்கார்ந்திருந்தான். அவர்களைக் கண்டு, லோத்து எழுந்து எதிர்கொண்டு தரைமட்டும் குனிந்து: And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

2 ஆண்டவன்மார்களே, அடியேனுடைய வீட்டுமுகமாய் நீங்கள் திரும்பி, உங்கள் கால்களைக் கழுவி, இராத்தங்கி, காலையில் எழுந்து பிரயாணப்பட்டுப் போகலாம் என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: அப்படியல்ல, வீதியிலே இராத்தங்குவோம் என்றார்கள். And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

3 அவன் அவர்களை மிகவும் வருந்திக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டான்; அப்பொழுது அவனிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பி, அவன் வீட்டிலே பிரவேசித்தார்கள். அவன் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பங்களைச் சுட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு விருந்துபண்ணினான், அவர்கள் புசித்தார்கள். And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

4 அவர்கள் படுக்கும் முன்னே, சோதோம் பட்டணத்து மனிதராகிய வாலிபர்முதல் கிழவர்மட்டுமுள்ள ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும் நானாதிசைகளிலுமிருந்து வந்து, வீட்டைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு, But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

5 லோத்தைக் கூப்பிட்டு: இந்த இராத்திரி உன்னிடத்தில் வந்த மனுஷர் எங்கே? நாங்கள் அவர்களை அறியும்படிக்கு அவர்களை எங்களிடத்தில் வெளியே கொண்டு வா என்றார்கள். And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

6 அப்பொழுது லோத்து வாசலுக்கு வெளியே வந்து, தனக்குப் பின்னாலே கதவைப் பூட்டி, அவர்களிடத்தில் போய்: And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

7 சகோதரரே, இந்த அக்கிரமம் செய்ய வேண்டாம். And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

8 இதோ, புருஷரை அறியாத இரண்டு குமாரத்திகள் எனக்கு உண்டு; அவர்களை உங்களிடத்திற்கு வெளியே கொண்டுவருகிறேன், அவர்களுக்கு உங்கள் இஷ்டப்படி செய்யுங்கள்; இந்தப்புருஷர் என் கூரையின் நிழலிலே வந்தபடியால், இவர்களுக்கு மாத்திரம் ஒன்றும் செய்யவேண்டாம் என்றான். Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

9 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: அப்பாலே போ; பரதேசியாய் வந்த இவனா நியாயம் பேசுகிறது? இப்பொழுது அவர்களுக்குச் செய்வதைப்பார்க்கிலும் உனக்கு அதிக பொல்லாப்புச் செய்வோம் என்று சொல்லி, லோத்து என்பவனை மிகவும் நெருக்கிக் கதவை உடைக்கக் கிட்டினார்கள். And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

10 அப்பொழுது அந்தப் புருஷர்கள் தங்கள் கைகளை வெளியே நீட்டி, லோத்தைத் தங்களண்டைக்கு வீட்டுக்குள் இழுத்துக்கொண்டு, கதவைப் பூட்டி, But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.

11 தெருவாசலிலிருந்த சிறியோரும் பெரியோருமாகிய மனிதருக்குக் குருட்டாட்டம் பிடிக்கப்பண்ணினார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் வாசலைத் தேடித்தேடி அலுத்துப்போனார்கள். And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

12 பின்பு அந்தப் புருஷர் லோத்தை நோக்கி: இவ்விடத்தில் இன்னும் உனக்கு யார் இருக்கிறார்கள்? மருமகனாவது, உன் குமாரராவது, உன் குமாரத்திகளாவது, பட்டணத்தில் உனக்குரிய எவர்களாவது இருந்தால், அவர்களை இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து வெளியே அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போ. And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

13 நாங்கள் இந்த ஸ்தலத்தை அழிக்கப்போகிறோம்; இவர்கள் கூக்குரல் கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் பெரிதாயிருக்கிறது; இதை அழிக்கக் கர்த்தர் எங்களை அனுப்பினார் என்றார்கள். For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

14 அப்பொழுது லோத்து புறப்பட்டு, தன் குமாரத்திகளை விவாகம்பண்ணப்போகிற தன் மருமக்கள்மாரோடே பேசி: நீங்கள் எழுந்து இந்த ஸ்தலத்தை விட்டுப் புறப்படுங்கள்; கர்த்தர் இந்தப் பட்டணத்தை அழிக்கப் போகிறார் என்றான்; அவனுடைய மருமக்கள்மாரின் பார்வைக்கு அவன் பரியாசம்பண்ணுகிறதாகக் கண்டது. And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

15 கிழக்கு வெளுக்கும்போது அந்தத் தூதர் லோத்தை நோக்கி: பட்டணத்திற்கு வரும் தண்டனையில் நீ அழியாதபடிக்கு எழுந்து, உன் மனைவியையும், இங்கே இருக்கிற உன் இரண்டு குமாரத்திகளையும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோ என்று சொல்லி, அவனைத் துரிதப்படுத்தினார்கள். And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

16 அவன் தாமதித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது கர்த்தர் அவன்மேல் வைத்த இரக்கத்தினாலே, அந்தப் புருஷர் அவன் கையையும், அவன் மனைவியின் கையையும், அவன் இரண்டு குமாரத்திகளின் கையையும் பிடித்து, அவனைப் பட்டணத்திற்கு வெளியே கொண்டுபோய் விட்டார்கள். And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

17 அவர்களை வெளியே கொண்டுபோய் விட்டபின்பு, அவர்: உன் ஜீவன் தப்ப ஓடிப்போ, பின்னிட்டுப் பாராதே; இந்தச் சமபூமியில் எங்கும் நிற்காதே; நீ அழியாதபடிக்கு மலைக்கு ஓடிப்போ என்றார். And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

18 அதற்கு லோத்து: அப்படியல்ல ஆண்டவரே, And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my LORD:

19 உமது கண்களில் உமது அடியேனுக்குக் கிருபைகிடைத்ததே; என் பிராணனைக் காக்கத் தேவரீர் எனக்குச் செய்த கிருபையைப் பெரிதாக விளங்கப்பண்ணினீர்; மலைக்கு ஓடிப்போக என்னால் முடியாது, தீங்கு என்னைத் தொடரும், நான் மரித்துப்போவேன். Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast showed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

20 அதோ, அந்த ஊர் இருக்கிறதே, நான் அதற்கு ஓடிப்போகத்தக்கதாய் அது கிட்ட இருக்கிறது; என் பிராணன் பிழைக்க நான் அங்கே ஓடிப்போகட்டும், அது சின்ன ஊர்தானே என்றான். Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

21 அதற்கு அவர்: நீ கேட்டுக்கொண்ட ஊரை நான் கவிழ்த்துப்போடாதபடிக்கு, இந்த விஷயத்திலும் உனக்கு அநுக்கிரகம்பண்ணினேன். And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

22 தீவிரமாய் அங்கே ஓடித் தப்பித்துக்கொள்; நீ அங்கே போய்ச் சேருமட்டும் நான் ஒன்றும் செய்யக் கூடாது என்றார்; ஆகையால் அந்த ஊர் சோவார் என்னப்பட்டது. Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

23 லோத்து சோவாருக்குள் வரும்போது பூமியின்மேல் சூரியன் உதித்தது. The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

24 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் சோதோமின்மேலும் கொமோராவின்மேலும், கர்த்தராலே வானத்திலிருந்து கந்தகத்தையும் அக்கினியையும் வருஷிக்கப்பண்ணி, Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

25 அந்தப் பட்டணங்களையும், அந்தச் சம பூமியனைத்தையும், அந்தப் பட்டணங்களின் எல்லாக் குடிகளையும், பூமியின் பயிரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டார். And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

26 அவன் மனைவியோ பின்னிட்டுப் பார்த்து, உப்புத்தூண் ஆனாள். But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

27 விடியற்காலத்தில் ஆபிரகாம் எழுந்து, தான் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நின்ற இடத்திற்குப் போய், And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

28 சோதோம் கொமோரா பட்டணங்களின் திசையையும், சமபூமியாகிய தேசம் முழுவதையும் நோக்கிப் பார்த்தான்; அந்தப் பூமியின் புகை சூளையின் புகையைப்போல எழும்பிற்று. And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

29 தேவன் அந்தச் சம பூமியின் பட்டணங்களை அழிக்கும்போது, தேவன் ஆபிரகாமை நினைத்து, லோத்து குடியிருந்த பட்டணங்களைத் தாம் கவிழ்த்துப் போடுகையில், லோத்தை அந்த அழிவின் நடுவிலிருந்து தப்பிப்போகும்படி அனுப்பி விட்டார். And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

30 பின்பு லோத்து சோவாரிலே குடியிருக்கப் பயந்து, சோவாரை விட்டுப்போய், அவனும் அவனோடேகூட அவனுடைய இரண்டு குமாரத்திகளும் மலையிலே வாசம்பண்ணினார்கள். And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

31 அப்பொழுது மூத்தவள் இளையவளைப் பார்த்து: நம்முடைய தகப்பன் முதிர்வயதானார், பூமியெங்கும் நடக்கிற முறைமையின்படியே நம்மோடே சேரப் பூமியிலே ஒரு புருஷனும் இல்லை. And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:

32 நம்முடைய தகப்பனால் சந்ததி உண்டாகும்படிக்கு, அவருக்கு மதுவைக் குடிக்கக்கொடுத்து, அவரோடே சயனிப்போம் வா என்றாள். Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

33 அப்படியே அன்று இரவிலே, தங்கள் தகப்பனுக்கு மதுவைக் குடிக்கக் கொடுத்தார்கள். மூத்தவள் போய், தன் தகப்பனோடே சயனித்தாள்; அவள் சயனித்ததையும் எழுந்திருந்ததையும் அவன் உணராதிருந்தான். And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

34 மறுநாளிலே மூத்தவள் இளையவளைப் பார்த்து: நேற்று ராத்திரி நான் தகப்பனோடே சயனித்தேன்; இன்று ராத்திரியும் மதுவைக்குடிக்கக் கொடுப்போம், நம்முடைய தகப்பனால் சந்ததி உண்டாகும்படி நீ போய் அவரோடே சயனி என்றாள். And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

35 அப்படியே அன்று ராத்திரியிலும் தங்கள் தகப்பனுக்கு மதுவைக்குடிக்கக் கொடுத்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது இளையவள் எழுந்து போய், அவனோடே சயனித்தாள்; அவள் சயனித்ததையும் எழுந்திருந்ததையும் அவன் உணராதிருந்தான். And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

36 இவ்விதமாய் லோத்தின் குமாரத்திகள் இருவரும் தங்கள் தகப்பனாலே கர்ப்பவதியானார்கள். Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.

37 மூத்தவள் ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று, அவனுக்கு மோவாப் என்று பேரிட்டாள்; அவன் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிற மோவாபியருக்குத் தகப்பன். And the first born bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.

38 இளையவளும் ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று, அவனுக்குப் பென்னம்மி என்று பேரிட்டாள்; அவன் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிற அம்மோன் புத்திரருக்குத் தகப்பன். And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.

1 Antha iranndu thootharum saayangaalaththilae sothomukku vanthaarkal; loththu sothomin vaasalilae utkaarnthirunthaan. Avarkalaik kanndu, loththu elunthu ethirkonndu tharaimattum kuninthu: And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

2 Aanndavanmaarkalae, atiyaenutaiya veettumukamaay neengal thirumpi, ungal kaalkalaik kaluvi, iraaththangi, kaalaiyil elunthu pirayaanappattup pokalaam entan. Atharku avarkal: appatiyalla, veethiyilae iraaththanguvom entarkal. And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

3 Avan avarkalai mikavum varunthik kaettukkonndaan; appoluthu avanidaththirkuth thirumpi, avan veettilae piravaesiththaarkal. Avan pulippillaatha appangalaich suttu, avarkalukku virunthupannnninaan, avarkal pusiththaarkal. And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

4 Avarkal padukkum munnae, sothom pattanaththu manitharaakiya vaaliparmuthal kilavarmattumulla janangal anaivarum naanaathisaikalilumirunthu vanthu, veettaைch soolnthukonndu, But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

5 Loththaik kooppittu: intha iraaththiri unnidaththil vantha manushar engae? Naangal avarkalai ariyumpatikku avarkalai engalidaththil veliyae konndu vaa entarkal. And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

6 Appoluthu loththu vaasalukku veliyae vanthu, thanakkup pinnaalae kathavaip pootti, avarkalidaththil poy: And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

7 Sakothararae, intha akkiramam seyya vaenndaam. And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

8 Itho, purusharai ariyaatha iranndu kumaaraththikal enakku unndu; avarkalai ungalidaththirku veliyae konnduvarukiraேn, avarkalukku ungal ishdappati seyyungal; inthappurushar en kooraiyin nilalilae vanthapatiyaal, ivarkalukku maaththiram ontum seyyavaenndaam entan. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

9 Atharku avarkal: appaalae po; parathaesiyaay vantha ivanaa niyaayam paesukirathu? Ippoluthu avarkalukkuch seyvathaippaarkkilum unakku athika pollaappuch seyvom entu solli, loththu enpavanai mikavum nerukkik kathavai utaikkak kittinaarkal. And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

10 Appoluthu anthap purusharkal thangal kaikalai veliyae neetti, loththaith thangalanntaikku veettukkul iluththukkonndu, kathavaip pootti, But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.

11 Theruvaasaliliruntha siriyorum periyorumaakiya manitharukkuk kuruttattam pitikkappannnninaarkal; appoluthu avarkal vaasalaith thaetiththaeti aluththupponaarkal. And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

12 Pinpu anthap purushar loththai Nnokki: ivvidaththil innum unakku yaar irukkiraarkal? Marumakanaavathu, un kumaararaavathu, un kumaaraththikalaavathu, pattanaththil unakkuriya evarkalaavathu irunthaal, avarkalai intha sthalaththilirunthu veliyae alaiththukkonndu po. And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

13 Naangal intha sthalaththai alikkappokirom; ivarkal kookkural karththarutaiya samukaththil perithaayirukkirathu; ithai alikkak Karththar engalai anuppinaar entarkal. For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

14 Appoluthu loththu purappattu, than kumaaraththikalai vivaakampannnappokira than marumakkalmaarotae paesi: neengal elunthu intha sthalaththai vittup purappadungal; Karththar inthap pattanaththai alikkap pokiraar entan; avanutaiya marumakkalmaarin paarvaikku avan pariyaasampannnukirathaakak kanndathu. And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

15 Kilakku velukkumpothu anthath thoothar loththai Nnokki: pattanaththirku varum thanndanaiyil nee aliyaathapatikku elunthu, un manaiviyaiyum, ingae irukkira un iranndu kumaaraththikalaiyum alaiththukkonndupo entu solli, avanaith thurithappaduththinaarkal. And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

16 Avan thaamathiththukkonntirukkumpothu Karththar avanmael vaiththa irakkaththinaalae, anthap purushar avan kaiyaiyum, avan manaiviyin kaiyaiyum, avan iranndu kumaaraththikalin kaiyaiyum pitiththu, avanaip pattanaththirku veliyae konndupoy vittarkal. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

17 Avarkalai veliyae konndupoy vittapinpu, avar: un jeevan thappa otippo, pinnittup paaraathae; inthach samapoomiyil engum nirkaathae; nee aliyaathapatikku malaikku otippo entar. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

18 Atharku loththu: appatiyalla aanndavarae, And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my LORD:

19 Umathu kannkalil umathu atiyaenukkuk kirupaikitaiththathae; en piraananaik kaakkath thaevareer enakkuch seytha kirupaiyaip perithaaka vilangappannnnineer; malaikku otippoka ennaal mutiyaathu, theengu ennaith thodarum, naan mariththuppovaen. Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast showed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

20 Atho, antha oor irukkirathae, naan atharku otippokaththakkathaay athu kitta irukkirathu; en piraanan pilaikka naan angae otippokattum, athu sinna oorthaanae entan. Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

21 Atharku avar: nee kaettukkonnda oorai naan kavilththuppodaathapatikku, intha vishayaththilum unakku anukkirakampannnninaen. And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

22 Theeviramaay angae otith thappiththukkol; nee angae poych serumattum naan ontum seyyak koodaathu entar; aakaiyaal antha oor sovaar ennappattathu. Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

23 Loththu sovaarukkul varumpothu poomiyinmael sooriyan uthiththathu. The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

24 Appoluthu Karththar sothominmaelum komoraavinmaelum, karththaraalae vaanaththilirunthu kanthakaththaiyum akkiniyaiyum varushikkappannnni, Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

25 Anthap pattanangalaiyum, anthach sama poomiyanaiththaiyum, anthap pattanangalin ellaak kutikalaiyum, poomiyin payiraiyum aliththuppottar. And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

26 Avan manaiviyo pinnittup paarththu, uppuththoonn aanaal. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

27 Vitiyarkaalaththil Abraham elunthu, thaan karththarukku munpaaka ninta idaththirkup poy, And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

28 Sothom komoraa pattanangalin thisaiyaiyum, samapoomiyaakiya thaesam muluvathaiyum Nnokkip paarththaan; anthap poomiyin pukai soolaiyin pukaiyaippola elumpittaு. And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

29 Dhevan anthach sama poomiyin pattanangalai alikkumpothu, Dhevan aapirakaamai ninaiththu, loththu kutiyiruntha pattanangalaith thaam kavilththup podukaiyil, loththai antha alivin naduvilirunthu thappippokumpati anuppi vittar. And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

30 Pinpu loththu sovaarilae kutiyirukkap payanthu, sovaarai vittuppoy, avanum avanotaekooda avanutaiya iranndu kumaaraththikalum malaiyilae vaasampannnninaarkal. And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

31 Appoluthu mooththaval ilaiyavalaip paarththu: nammutaiya thakappan muthirvayathaanaar, poomiyengum nadakkira muraimaiyinpatiyae nammotae serap poomiyilae oru purushanum illai. And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:

32 Nammutaiya thakappanaal santhathi unndaakumpatikku, avarukku mathuvaik kutikkakkoduththu, avarotae sayanippom vaa ental. Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

33 Appatiyae antu iravilae, thangal thakappanukku mathuvaik kutikkak koduththaarkal. Mooththaval poy, than thakappanotae sayaniththaal; aval sayaniththathaiyum elunthirunthathaiyum avan unaraathirunthaan. And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

34 Maraுnaalilae mooththaval ilaiyavalaip paarththu: naettaு raaththiri naan thakappanotae sayaniththaen; intu raaththiriyum mathuvaikkutikkak koduppom, nammutaiya thakappanaal santhathi unndaakumpati nee poy avarotae sayani ental. And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

35 Appatiyae antu raaththiriyilum thangal thakappanukku mathuvaikkutikkak koduththaarkal. Appoluthu ilaiyaval elunthu poy, avanotae sayaniththaal; aval sayaniththathaiyum elunthirunthathaiyum avan unaraathirunthaan. And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

36 Ivvithamaay loththin kumaaraththikal iruvarum thangal thakappanaalae karppavathiyaanaarkal. Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.

37 Mooththaval oru kumaaranaip pettaு, avanukku movaap entu paerittal; avan innaalvaraikkum irukkira movaapiyarukkuth thakappan. And the first born bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.

38 Ilaiyavalum oru kumaaranaip pettaு, avanukkup pennammi entu paerittal; avan innaalvaraikkum irukkira ammon puththirarukkuth thakappan. And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.
