Genesis 30 in Tamil

1 ராகேல் தான் யாக்கோபுக்குப் பிள்ளைகளைப் பெறாததைக்கண்டு, தன் சகோதரியின்மேல் பொறாமைகொண்டு, யாக்கோபை நோக்கி: எனக்குப் பிள்ளை கொடும், இல்லாவிட்டால் நான் சாகிறேன் என்றாள். And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.

2 அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு ராகேலின்மேல் கோபங்கொண்டு: தேவனல்லோ உன் கர்ப்பத்தை அடைத்திருக்கிறார், நான் தேவனோ என்றான். And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?

3 அப்பொழுது அவள்: இதோ, என் வேலைக்காரியாகிய பில்காள் இருக்கிறாளே; அவள் என் மடிக்குப் பிள்ளைகளைப் பெறவும், அவளாலாகிலும் என் வீடு கட்டப்படவும் அவளிடத்தில் சேரும் என்று சொல்லி, And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.

4 அவனுக்குத் தன் வேலைக்காரியாகிய பில்காளை மனைவியாகக் கொடுத்தாள்; அப்படியே யாக்கோபு அவளைச் சேர்ந்தான். And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her.

5 பில்காள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி, யாக்கோபுக்கு ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள். And Bilhah conceived, and bare Jacob a son.

6 அப்பொழுது ராகேல்: தேவன் என் வழக்கைத் தீர்த்து, என் சத்தத்தையும் கேட்டு, எனக்கு ஒரு குமாரனைக் கொடுத்தார் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்குத் தாண் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.

7 மறுபடியும் ராகேலின் வேலைக்காரியாகிய பில்காள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி, யாக்கோபுக்கு இரண்டாம் குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள். And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again, and bare Jacob a second son.

8 அப்பொழுது ராகேல்: நான் மகா போராட்டமாய் என் சகோதரியோடே போராடி மேற்கொண்டேன் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு நப்தலி என்று பேரிட்டாள். And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.

9 லேயாள் தான் பிள்ளைபெறுகிறது நின்றுபோனதைக் கண்டு, தன் வேலைக்காரியாகிய சில்பாளை அழைத்து, அவளை யாக்கோபுக்கு மனைவியாகக் கொடுத்தாள். When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her Jacob to wife.

10 லேயாளின் வேலைக்காரியாகிய சில்பாள் யாக்கோபுக்கு ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள். And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a son.

11 அப்பொழுது லேயாள்: ஏராளமாகிறது என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்குக் காத் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.

12 பின்பு லேயாளின் வேலைக்காரியாகிய சில்பாள் யாக்கோபுக்கு இரண்டாம் குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள். And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a second son.

13 அப்பொழுது லேயாள்: நான் பாக்கியவதி, ஸ்திரீகள் என்னைப் பாக்கியவதி என்பார்கள் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு ஆசேர் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.

14 கோதுமை அறுப்பு நாட்களிலே ரூபன் வயல்வெளியிலே போய், தூதாயீம் கனிகளைக் கண்டெடுத்து, அவைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து தன் தாயாகிய லேயாளிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான். அப்பொழுது ராகேல் லேயாளை நோக்கி: உன் குமாரனுடைய தூதாயீம் கனியில் எனக்குக் கொஞ்சம் தா என்றாள். And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son's mandrakes.

15 அதற்கு அவள்: நீ என் புருஷனை எடுத்துக்கொண்டது அற்பகாரியமா? என் குமாரனுடைய தூதாயீம் கனிகளையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டுமோ என்றாள்; அதற்கு ராகேல்: உன் குமாரனுடைய தூதாயீம் கனிகளுக்கு ஈடாக இன்று இரவு அவர் உன்னோடே சயனிக்கட்டும் என்றாள். And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son's mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son's mandrakes.

16 சாயங்காலத்தில் யாக்கோபு வெளியிலிருந்து வருகையில் லேயாள் புறப்பட்டு அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய்: என் குமாரனுடைய தூதாயீம் கனிகளால் உம்மைக் கொண்டேன்; ஆகையால், நீர் என்னிடத்தில் வரவேண்டும் என்றாள்; அவன் அன்று இரவு அவளோடே சயனித்தான். And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.

18 அப்பொழுது லேயாள்: நான் என் வேலைக்காரியை என் புருஷனுக்குக் கொடுத்த பலனைத் தேவன் எனக்குத் தந்தார் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு இசக்கார் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

19 அப்புறம் லேயாள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி யாக்கோபுக்கு ஆறாம் குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள். And Leah conceived again, and bare Jacob the sixth son.

20 அப்பொழுது லேயாள்: தேவன் எனக்கு நல்ல ஈவைத்தந்தார்; என் புருஷனுக்கு நான் ஆறு குமாரரைப் பெற்றபடியால், இப்பொழுது அவர் என்னுடனே வாசம்பண்ணுவார் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்குச் செபுலோன் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And Leah said, God hath endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.

21 பின்பு அவள் ஒரு குமாரத்தியையும் பெற்று, அவளுக்குத் தீனாள் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And afterwards she bare a daughter, and called her name Dinah.

22 தேவன் ராகேலை நினைத்தருளினார்; அவளுக்குத் தேவன் செவிகொடுத்து, அவள் கர்ப்பந்தரிக்கும்படி செய்தார். And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

23 அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று: தேவன் என் நிந்தையை நீக்கிவிட்டார் என்றும், And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:

24 இன்னும் ஒரு குமாரனைக் கர்த்தர் எனக்குத் தருவார் என்றும் சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு யோசேப்பு என்று பேரிட்டாள். And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son.

25 ராகேல் யோசேப்பைப் பெற்றபின், யாக்கோபு லாபானை நோக்கி: நான் என் ஸ்தானத்திற்கும் என் தேசத்துக்கும் போக என்னை அனுப்பிவிடும். And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.

26 நான் உமக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்து சம்பாதித்த என் மனைவிகளையும் என் பிள்ளைகளையும் எனக்குத் தாரும்; நான் போவேன், நான் உம்மிடத்தில் சேவித்த சேவகத்தை நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர் என்றான். Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee.

27 அப்பொழுது லாபான்: உன் கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயவு கிடைத்ததேயானால் நீ இரு; உன்னிமித்தம் கர்த்தர் என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்தார் என்று குறிப்பினால் அறிந்தேன். And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favor in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.

28 உன் சம்பளம் இன்னதென்று எனக்குச் சொல், நான் அதைத் தருவேன் என்றான். And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.

29 அதற்கு அவன் நான் உம்மைச் சேவித்த விதமும், உம்முடைய மந்தை என்னிடத்தில் இருந்த விதமும் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர். And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me.

30 நான் வருமுன்னே உமக்கு இருந்தது கொஞ்சம்; நான் வந்தபின் கர்த்தர் உம்மை ஆசீர்வதித்ததினால் அது மிகவும் பெருகியிருக்கிறது; இனி நான் என் குடும்பத்துக்குச் சம்பாத்தியம்பண்ணுவது எப்பொழுது என்றான். For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?

31 அதற்கு அவன்: நான் உனக்கு என்ன தரவேண்டும் என்றான்; யாக்கோபு: நீர் எனக்கு ஒன்றும் தரவேண்டியதில்லை; நான் சொல்லுகிறபடி நீர் எனக்குச் செய்தால், உம்முடைய மந்தையைத் திரும்ப மேய்த்துக் காப்பேன். And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock.

32 நான் இன்றைக்குப் போய், உம்முடைய மந்தைகளையெல்லாம் பார்வையிட்டு, அவைகளில் புள்ளியும் வரியும் கறுப்புமுள்ள செம்மறியாடுகளையும், வரியும் புள்ளியுமுள்ள வெள்ளாடுகளையும் பிரித்துவிடுகிறேன்; அப்படிப்பட்டவை இனி எனக்குச் சம்பளமாயிருக்கட்டும். I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.

33 அப்படியே இனிமேல் என் சம்பளமாகிய இவற்றை நீர் பார்வையிடும்போது, என் நீதி விளங்கும்; புள்ளியும் வரியுமில்லாத வெள்ளாடுகளும், கறுப்பான செம்மறியாடுகளும் என் வசத்தில் இருந்தால், அவையெல்லாம் என்னால் திருடிக்கொள்ளப்பட்டவைகளாய் எண்ணப்படட்டும் என்றான். So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.

34 அதற்கு லாபான்: நீ சொன்னபடியே ஆகட்டும் என்று சொல்லி, And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word.

35 அந்நாளிலே கலப்பு நிறமும் வரியுமுள்ள வெள்ளாட்டுக் கடாக்களையும், புள்ளியும் வரியுமுள்ள வெள்ளாடுகள் யாவையும், சற்று வெண்மையும் கருமையுமுள்ள செம்மறியாடுகள் யாவையும் பிரித்து, தன் குமாரரிடத்தில் ஒப்புவித்து, And he removed that day the he goats that were ring-streaked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.

36 தனக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் இடையிலே மூன்று நாள் பிரயாண தூரத்தில் இருக்கும்படி வைத்தான். லாபானுடைய மற்ற ஆடுகளை யாக்கோபு மேய்த்தான். And he set three days' journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.

37 பின்பு யாக்கோபு பச்சையாயிருக்கிற புன்னை, வாதுமை அர்மோன் என்னும் மரங்களின் கொப்புகளை வெட்டி, இடையிடையே வெண்மை தோன்றும்படி, பட்டையை உரித்து, And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chestnut tree; and pilled white streaks in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.

38 தான் உரித்த கொப்புகளை ஆடுகள் தண்ணீர் குடிக்க வரும் கால்வாய்களிலும் தொட்டிகளிலும் ஆடுகளுக்கு எதிராகப் போட்டுவைப்பான்; ஆடுகள் தண்ணீர் குடிக்க வரும்போது பொலிவதுண்டு. And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.

39 ஆடுகள் அந்தக் கொப்புகளுக்கு முன்பாகப் பொலிந்தபடியால், அவைகள் கலப்பு நிறமுள்ளதும் புள்ளியுள்ளதும் வரியுள்ளதுமான குட்டிகளைப் போட்டது. And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ring-streaked, speckled, and spotted.

40 அந்த ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளை யாக்கோபு பிரித்துக்கொண்டு, ஆடுகளை லாபானுடைய மந்தையிலிருக்கும் கலப்புநிறமானவைகளுக்கும் கறுப்பானவைகளெல்லாவற்றிற்கும் எதிராக நிறுத்தி, தன் ஆடுகளை லாபானுடைய மந்தையோடே சேர்க்காமல், தனிப்புறமாக வைத்துக்கொள்வான். And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ring-streaked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.

41 பலத்த ஆடுகள் பொலியும்போது, அந்தக் கொப்புகளுக்கு எதிரே பொலியும்படி யாக்கோபு அவைகளை அந்த ஆடுகளின் கண்களின் முன்பாகக் கால்வாய்களிலே போட்டுவைப்பான். And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.

42 பலவீனமான ஆடுகள் பொலியும்போது, அவைகளைப் போடாமலிருப்பான்; இதனால் பலவீனமானவைகள் லாபானையும், பலமுள்ளவைகள் யாக்கோபையும் சேர்ந்தன. But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.

43 இவ்விதமாய் அந்தப் புருஷன் மிகவும் விருத்தியடைந்து, திரளான ஆடுகளும், வேலைக்காரிகளும், வேலைக்காரரும், ஒட்டகங்களும், கழுதைகளும் உடையவனானான். And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.

1 Raakael thaan yaakkopukkup pillaikalaip peraathathaikkanndu, than sakothariyinmael poraamaikonndu, yaakkopai Nnokki: enakkup pillai kodum, illaavittal naan saakiraேn ental. And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.

2 Appoluthu yaakkopu raakaelinmael kopangaொnndu: thaevanallo un karppaththai ataiththirukkiraar, naan thaevano entan. And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?

3 Appoluthu aval: itho, en vaelaikkaariyaakiya pilkaal irukkiraalae; aval en matikkup pillaikalaip peravum, avalaalaakilum en veedu kattappadavum avalidaththil serum entu solli, And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.

4 Avanukkuth than vaelaikkaariyaakiya pilkaalai manaiviyaakak koduththaal; appatiyae yaakkopu avalaich sernthaan. And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her.

5 Pilkaal karppavathiyaaki, yaakkopukku oru kumaaranaip pettaாl. And Bilhah conceived, and bare Jacob a son.

6 Appoluthu raakael: Dhevan en valakkaith theerththu, en saththaththaiyum kaettu, enakku oru kumaaranaik koduththaar entu solli, avanukkuth thaann entu paerittal. And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.

7 Maraுpatiyum raakaelin vaelaikkaariyaakiya pilkaal karppavathiyaaki, yaakkopukku iranndaam kumaaranaip pettaாl. And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again, and bare Jacob a second son.

8 Appoluthu raakael: naan makaa poraattamaay en sakothariyotae poraati maerkonntaen entu solli, avanukku napthali entu paerittal. And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.

9 Laeyaal thaan pillaiperaுkirathu nintuponathaik kanndu, than vaelaikkaariyaakiya silpaalai alaiththu, avalai yaakkopukku manaiviyaakak koduththaal. When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her Jacob to wife.

10 Laeyaalin vaelaikkaariyaakiya silpaal yaakkopukku oru kumaaranaip pettaாl. And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a son.

11 Appoluthu laeyaal: aeraalamaakirathu entu solli, avanukkuk kaath entu paerittal. And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.

12 Pinpu laeyaalin vaelaikkaariyaakiya silpaal yaakkopukku iranndaam kumaaranaip pettaாl. And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a second son.

13 Appoluthu laeyaal: naan paakkiyavathi, sthireekal ennaip paakkiyavathi enpaarkal entu solli, avanukku aaser entu paerittal. And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.

14 Kothumai araுppu naatkalilae roopan vayalveliyilae poy, thoothaayeem kanikalaik kanndeduththu, avaikalaik konnduvanthu than thaayaakiya laeyaalidaththil koduththaan. Appoluthu raakael laeyaalai Nnokki: un kumaaranutaiya thoothaayeem kaniyil enakkuk konjam thaa ental. And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son's mandrakes.

15 Atharku aval: nee en purushanai eduththukkonndathu arpakaariyamaa? En kumaaranutaiya thoothaayeem kanikalaiyum eduththukkolla vaenndumo ental; atharku raakael: un kumaaranutaiya thoothaayeem kanikalukku eedaaka intu iravu avar unnotae sayanikkattum ental. And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son's mandrakes also? 16 Saayangaalaththil yaakkopu veliyilirunthu varukaiyil laeyaal purappattu avanukku ethirkonndupoy: en kumaaranutaiya thoothaayeem kanikalaal ummaik konntaen; aakaiyaal, neer ennidaththil varavaenndum ental; avan antu iravu avalotae sayaniththaan. And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.

17 Dhevan laeyaalukkuch sevikoduththaar. Aval karppavathiyaaki yaakkopukku ainthaam kumaaranaip pettaாl. And God hearkened unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare Jacob the fifth son.

18 Appoluthu laeyaal: naan en vaelaikkaariyai en purushanukkuk koduththa palanaith Dhevan enakkuth thanthaar entu solli, avanukku isakkaar entu paerittal. And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

19 Appuram laeyaal karppavathiyaaki yaakkopukku aaraam kumaaranaip pettaாl. And Leah conceived again, and bare Jacob the sixth son.

20 Appoluthu laeyaal: Dhevan enakku nalla eevaiththanthaar; en purushanukku naan aaraு kumaararaip pettapatiyaal, ippoluthu avar ennudanae vaasampannnuvaar entu solli, avanukkuch sepulon entu paerittal. And Leah said, God hath endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.

21 Pinpu aval oru kumaaraththiyaiyum pettaு, avalukkuth theenaal entu paerittal. And afterwards she bare a daughter, and called her name Dinah.

22 Dhevan raakaelai ninaiththarulinaar; avalukkuth Dhevan sevikoduththu, aval karppantharikkumpati seythaar. And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

23 Aval karppavathiyaaki oru kumaaranaip pettaு: Dhevan en ninthaiyai neekkivittar entum, And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:

24 Innum oru kumaaranaik Karththar enakkuth tharuvaar entum solli, avanukku yoseppu entu paerittal. And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son.

25 Raakael yoseppaip pettapin, yaakkopu laapaanai Nnokki: naan en sthaanaththirkum en thaesaththukkum poka ennai anuppividum. And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.

26 Naan umakku ooliyanjaெythu sampaathiththa en manaivikalaiyum en pillaikalaiyum enakkuth thaarum; naan povaen, naan ummidaththil seviththa sevakaththai neer arinthirukkireer entan. Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee.

27 Appoluthu laapaan: un kannkalil enakkuth thayavu kitaiththathaeyaanaal nee iru; unnimiththam Karththar ennai aaseervathiththaar entu kurippinaal arinthaen. And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favor in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.

28 Un sampalam innathentu enakkuch sol, naan athaith tharuvaen entan. And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.

29 Atharku avan naan ummaich seviththa vithamum, ummutaiya manthai ennidaththil iruntha vithamum arinthirukkireer. And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me.

30 Naan varumunnae umakku irunthathu konjam; naan vanthapin Karththar ummai aaseervathiththathinaal athu mikavum perukiyirukkirathu; ini naan en kudumpaththukkuch sampaaththiyampannnuvathu eppoluthu entan. For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?

31 Atharku avan: naan unakku enna tharavaenndum entan; yaakkopu: neer enakku ontum tharavaenntiyathillai; naan sollukirapati neer enakkuch seythaal, ummutaiya manthaiyaith thirumpa maeyththuk kaappaen. I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.

33 Appatiyae inimael en sampalamaakiya ivattaை neer paarvaiyidumpothu, en neethi vilangum; pulliyum variyumillaatha vellaadukalum, karaுppaana semmariyaadukalum en vasaththil irunthaal, avaiyellaam ennaal thirutikkollappattavaikalaay ennnappadattum entan. So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.

34 Atharku laapaan: nee sonnapatiyae aakattum entu solli, And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word.

38 Thaan uriththa koppukalai aadukal thannnneer kutikka varum kaalvaaykalilum thottikalilum aadukalukku ethiraakap pottuvaippaan; aadukal thannnneer kutikka varumpothu polivathunndu. And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.

39 Aadukal anthak koppukalukku munpaakap polinthapatiyaal, avaikal kalappu niramullathum pulliyullathum variyullathumaana kuttikalaip pottathu. And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ring-streaked, speckled, and spotted.

40 Antha aattukkuttikalai yaakkopu piriththukkonndu, aadukalai laapaanutaiya manthaiyilirukkum kalappuniramaanavaikalukkum karaுppaanavaikalellaavattirkum ethiraaka niraுththi, than aadukalai laapaanutaiya manthaiyotae serkkaamal, thanippuramaaka vaiththukkolvaan. And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ring-streaked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.

41 Palaththa aadukal poliyumpothu, anthak koppukalukku ethirae poliyumpati yaakkopu avaikalai antha aadukalin kannkalin munpaakak kaalvaaykalilae pottuvaippaan. And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.

42 Palaveenamaana aadukal poliyumpothu, avaikalaip podaamaliruppaan; ithanaal palaveenamaanavaikal laapaanaiyum, palamullavaikal yaakkopaiyum sernthana. But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.

43 Ivvithamaay anthap purushan mikavum viruththiyatainthu, thiralaana aadukalum, vaelaikkaarikalum, vaelaikkaararum, ottakangalum, kaluthaikalum utaiyavanaanaan. And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.
