Psalm 61 in Tamil

1 தேவனே, என் கூப்பிடுதலைக்கேட்டு, என் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கவனியும். Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

2 என் இருதயம் தொய்யும்போது பூமியின் கடையாந்தரத்திலிருந்து உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; எனக்கு எட்டாத உயரமான கன்மலையில் என்னைக் கொண்டுபோய்விடும். From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 நீர் எனக்கு அடைக்கலமும், சத்துருவுக்கு எதிரே பெலத்த துருகமுமாயிருந்தீர். For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

4 நான் உம்முடைய கூடாரத்தில் சதாகாலமும் தங்குவேன்; உமது செட்டைகளின் மறைவிலே வந்து அடைவேன். (சேலா.) I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5 தேவனே நீர் என் பொருத்தனைகளைக் கேட்டீர்; உமது நாமத்திற்குப் பயப்படுகிறவர்களின் சுதந்தரத்தை எனக்குத் தந்தீர். For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6 ராஜாவின் நாட்களோடே நாட்களைக் கூட்டுவீர்; அவர் வருஷங்கள் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக இருக்கும். Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.

7 அவர் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருப்பார்; தயையும் உண்மையும் அவரைக் காக்கக் கட்டளையிடும். He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

8 இப்படியே தினமும் என் பொருத்தனைகளை நான் செலுத்தும்படியாக, உமது நாமத்தை என்றைக்கும் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுவேன். So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

2 En iruthayam thoyyumpothu poomiyin kataiyaantharaththilirunthu ummai Nnokkik kooppiduvaen; enakku ettatha uyaramaana kanmalaiyil ennaik konndupoyvidum. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 Neer enakku ataikkalamum, saththuruvukku ethirae pelaththa thurukamumaayiruntheer. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

4 Naan ummutaiya koodaaraththil sathaakaalamum thanguvaen; umathu settaைkalin maraivilae vanthu ataivaen. (selaa.) I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5 Thaevanae neer en poruththanaikalaik kaettir; umathu naamaththirkup payappadukiravarkalin suthantharaththai enakkuth thantheer. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6 Raajaavin naatkalotae naatkalaik koottuveer; avar varushangal thalaimurai thalaimuraiyaaka irukkum. Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.

7 Avar thaevanukku munpaaka ententaikkum nilaiththiruppaar; thayaiyum unnmaiyum avaraik kaakkak kattalaiyidum. He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

8 Ippatiyae thinamum en poruththanaikalai naan seluththumpatiyaaka, umathu naamaththai entaikkum geerththanampannnuvaen. So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
