அப்பொழுது ஜனங்கள் மோசேக்கு விரோதமாய் முறுமுறுத்து: என்னத்தைக் குடிப்போம் என்றார்கள்.

ʠοன்பு அவர்கள் ஏலிமுக்கு வந்தார்கள்; அங்கே பன்னிரண்டு நீரூற்றுகளும் எழுபது பேரீச்சமரங்களும் இருந்தது; அங்கே தண்ணீர் அருகே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

Marah,
מָרָ֔תָהmārātâma-RA-ta
they
could
וְלֹ֣אwĕlōʾveh-LOH

יָֽכְל֗וּyākĕlûya-heh-LOO
drink
לִשְׁתֹּ֥תlištōtleesh-TOTE
of
the
waters
מַ֙יִם֙mayimMA-YEEM
of
Marah,
מִמָּרָ֔הmimmārâmee-ma-RA
for
כִּ֥יkîkee
they
מָרִ֖יםmārîmma-REEM
were
bitter:
הֵ֑םhēmhame
therefore
עַלʿalal

כֵּ֥ןkēnkane
the
name
קָרָֽאqārāʾka-RA
of
it
was
called
שְׁמָ֖הּšĕmāhsheh-MA
Marah.
מָרָֽה׃mārâma-RA
