யோசேப்பு அவர்களைத் தன் சகோதரர் என்று அறிந்தும், அவர்கள் அவனை அறியவில்லை.

1 கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 குஷ்டரோகிகள் யாவரையும், பிரமியமுள்ளவர்கள் யாவரையும், சவத்தினால் தீட்டுப்பட்டவர்கள் யாவரையும் பாளயத்திலிருந்து விலக்கிவிட இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குக் கட்டளையிடு.
Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
3 ஆண்பிள்ளையானாலும் பெண்பிள்ளையானாலும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களை நீங்கள் விலக்கி, நான் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற தங்கள் பாளயங்களை அவர்கள் தீட்டுப்படுத்தாதபடிக்கு, நீங்கள் அவர்களைப் பாளயத்திற்குப் புறம்பாக்கிவிடக்கடவீர்கள் என்றார்.
Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
4 கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குச் சொன்னபடியே, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் செய்து, அவர்களைப் பாளயத்திற்குப் புறம்பாக்கிவிட்டார்கள்.
And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
