1 Kings 20:28
દેવના એક માંણસે આવીને ઇસ્રાએલના રાજાને કહ્યું, “આ યહોવાનાં વચન છે; ‘અરામીઓ એવું માંને છે કે, યહોવા તો પર્વતોના દેવ છે. કાંઇ ખીણોના દેવ નથી, આથી હું તમને આ મહાન સૈન્ય તમાંરા હાથમાં સુપ્રત કરીશ, જેથી તમને ખાતરી થશે કે હું યહોવા છું.”‘

જોકે તમાંરી પાસે ખોરાક કે દ્રાક્ષારસ અથવા મધ ન હતા છતાં પણ તેમણે તમાંરી જરુરિયાતો પૂરી પાડી જેથી તમને સમજણમાં આવે કે તે યહોવા છે તમાંરા દેવ.

પરંતુ મને ભય છે એવો કે તેમનાં શત્રુઓ ખોટું સમજશે; અમાંરા બાહુબળથી ઇસ્રાએલનો કર્યો વિનાશ-બડાશ હાંકશે. “યહોવાએ તેમનો વિનાશ નથી કર્યો.’
