જ્યારે હદારએઝેરના માણસોએ જોયું કે, તેમણે ઇસ્રાએલીઓને હાથે હાર ખાધી છે. ત્યારે તેમણે દાઉદ સાથે સુલેહ કરી અને તેની શરણાગતિ સ્વીકારી. ત્યારબાદ અરામીઓ આમ્મોનીઓની મદદ કરવા રાજી નહતા.

that	כִּ֤י	kî	kee
they were put to the worse	נִגְּפוּ֙	nāgap	na-ɡAHF
before	לִפְנֵ֣י	pānîm	pa-NEEM
Israel,	יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
they made peace	וַיַּשְׁלִ֥ימוּ	šālam	sha-LAHM
with	עִם	ʿim	eem
David,	דָּוִ֖יד	dāwid	da-VEED
and became his servants:	וַיַּֽעַבְדֻ֑הוּ	ʿābad	ah-VAHD
neither	וְלֹֽא	lōʾ	loh
would	אָבָ֣ה	ʾābâ	ah-VA
the Syrians	אֲרָ֔ם	ʾărām	uh-RAHM
help	לְהוֹשִׁ֥יעַ	yāšaʿ	ya-SHA
	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
the children	בְּנֵֽי	bēn	bane
of Ammon	עַמּ֖וֹן	ʿammôn	ah-MONE
any more.	עֽוֹד׃	ʿôd	ode
