ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ આશ્શૂરના રાજા પૂલનું તથા આશ્શૂરના રાજા તિલ્ગાથ-પિલ્નેસેરનું મન ઉશ્કેર્યું, તેથી તેણે તેઓને, એટલે રૂબેનીઓને, ગાદીઓને તથા મનાશ્શાના અર્ધકુલસમૂહને, પકડી લઈ જઈને તેઓને હલાહ; હાબોર, હારામ અને ગોઝાન નદીને કાંઠે લાવીને વસાવ્યા; ત્યાં આજપર્યત તેઓ રહે છે.
