સંહાર કરવા માટે તેને ધારદાર બનાવેલી છે. વીજળીની જેમ ચમકારા મારે તેવી તેને બનાવી છે. અજેય રહેનાર યહૂદાના રાજદંડમાં શું આપણે આનંદ મનાવીશું? પરંતુ એ બાબિલની તરવાર એવા પ્રત્યેક રાજદંડને તુચ્છકારે છે.

ત્યાર પછી સિંહ જેવા બહાદુર માંણસો પણ નિરાશ થઇ જશે. અને હાર માંની લેશે. કારણ આખું ઇસ્રાએલ જાણે છે કે તારા પિતા શૂરવીર યોદ્ધા છે અને તેના માંણસો પણ.

જેમ પાણી વહી જાય તેમ, મારી શકિત પણ ચાલી ગઇ છે. જેમ સાંધામાંથી હાડકાં ઢીલાઁ થઇ છૂટા પડી જાય છે, તેમ મારંુ હૃદય પણ મીણનાં જેવું પોચું થઇ મારાં આંતરડામાં ઓગળી ગયું છે.

હું તેઓની વિરુદ્ધ થઇ જઇશ, તેઓ એક આગમાંથી બચી જશે તોપણ તેઓ બીજી વારની આગમાં બળી મરશે. ત્યારે તેમને ખબર પડશે કે હું યહોવા છું.

“તેના જમણા હાથમાં આવેલું બાણ યરૂશાલેમનું છે. ત્યાં તે કિલ્લો તોડવાના યંત્રો ગોઠવશે અને હત્યા કરવા હુકમ આપશે. દરવાજા તોડવાના યંત્રો ગોઠવાશે અને માટીના ગઢ ઊભા કરાશે, અને ખાઇઓ ખોદશે.
