કિદ્રોનથી ઠેઠ ઘોડાના દરવાજા સુધી, સમગ્ર ખીણ અને દરેકે દરેક ખેતરને આ શહેરમાં સામેલ કરવામાં આવશે. જે યહોવા માટે પવિત્ર છે. અને આને ફરીથી કયારેય ઉખેડવામાં કે નાશ કરવામાં નહિ આવે.”

તેઓને કહે, ‘યહોવા સૈન્યોનો દેવ તરફથી તમને આ સંદેશો છે; તેવી જ રીતે હું યરૂશાલેમ શહેરને તોડી નાખીશ જેમ કુંભાર એક વાસણને તોડી નાખે છે જેથી તેનું સમારકામ ક્યારેય ન થાય. તોફેથમાં ઘણા બધા લોકોને દફનાવવામાં આવશે કારણ કે તેઓને દફનાવવા માટે બીજી કોઇ જગ્યા નથી.

“તેથી હવે ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ યહોવા આ નગર વિષે કહે છે કે ‘તેને તરવાર, દુકાળ અને મરકી દ્વારા બાબિલના રાજાના હાથમાં સુપ્રત કરવામાં આવશે.’

તેમણે મને તે હાડકા વચ્ચે આમતેમ ફેરવ્યો, જોઉં છું તો આખું મેદાન હાડકાંથી છવાયેલું હતું. હાડકાંનો કોઇ પાર નહોતો અને તે બધા તદૃન સુકાઇ ગયેલા હતા.

વળી મારા સેવક યાકૂબને મેં જે ભૂમિ આપી હતી અને જેમાં તમારા પિતૃઓ રહેતા હતા તેમાં જ તેઓ રહેશે, તેઓ અને તેમના બાળકો અને તેમના પણ બાળકો ત્યા કાયમ માટે રહેશે. અને મારા સેવક દાઉદ જેવો રાજા કાયમ તેમના પર શાસન ચલાવશે.
