સૂર્યનું પરિવર્તન અંધકારમાં થશે, અને ચંદ્ર લાલ લોહી જેવો બનશે. પછી પ્રભુનો મહાન તથા પ્રસિધ્ધ દિવસ આવશે.

1 ஆபத்துநாளிலே கர்த்தர் உமது ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்பாராக; யாக்கோபின் தேவனுடைய நாமம் உமக்கு உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலமாவதாக.
The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
2 அவர் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து உமக்கு ஒத்தாசையனுப்பி சீயோனிலிருந்து உம்மை ஆதரிப்பாராக.
Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
3 நீர் செலுத்தும் காணிக்கைகளையெல்லாம் அவர் நினைத்து, உமது சர்வாங்க தகனபலியைப் பிரியமாய் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வாராக. (சேலா.)
Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
4 அவர் உமது மனவிருப்பத்தின்படி உமக்குத் தந்தருளி, உமது ஆலோசனைகளையெல்லாம் நிறைவேற்றுவாராக.
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
5 நாங்கள் உமது இரட்சிப்பினால் மகிழ்ந்து, எங்கள் தேவனுடைய நாமத்திலே கொடியேற்றுவோம்; உமது வேண்டுதல்களையெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் நிறைவேற்றுவாராக.
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.
6 கர்த்தர் தாம் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவரை இரட்சிக்கிறார் என்பதை இப்பொழுது அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; தமது வலதுகரம் செய்யும் இரட்சிப்பின் வல்லமைகளைக் காண்பித்து, தமது பரிசுத்த வானத்திலிருந்து அவருடைய ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்பார்.
Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 சிலர் இரதங்களைக்குறித்தும், சிலர் குதிரைகளைக் குறித்தும் மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறார்கள்; நாங்களோ எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக்குறித்தே மேன்மைபாராட்டுவோம்.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
8 அவர்கள் முறிந்து விழுந்தார்கள்; நாங்களோ எழுந்து நிமிர்ந்து நிற்கிறோம்.
They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
