Genesis 31:1
એક દિવસ યાકૂબે લાબાનના પુત્રોને વાતો કરતાં સાંભળ્યા, તેઓએ કહ્યું કે, “યાકૂબે અમાંરા પિતાજીનું સર્વસ્વ લઈ લીધું છે. તે ધનવાન બની ગયો છે અને તેણે અમાંરા પિતાની બધી મિલકત લઇ લીધી છે.

| of Laban's | בְנֵֽי | bĕnê | veh-NAY |
| sons, | לָבָן֙ | lābān | la-VAHN |
| saying, | לֵאמֹ֔ר | lēʾmōr | lay-MORE |
| Jacob | לָקַ֣ח | lāqaḥ | la-KAHK |
| hath taken away | יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב | yaʿăqōb | ya-uh-KOVE |
| אֵ֖ת | ʾēt | ate | |
| all | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| that | אֲשֶׁ֣ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| father's; our was | לְאָבִ֑ינוּ | lĕʾābînû | leh-ah-VEE-noo |
| and of that which | וּמֵֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר | ûmēʾăšer | oo-may-uh-SHER |
| father's our was | לְאָבִ֔ינוּ | lĕʾābînû | leh-ah-VEE-noo |
| hath he gotten | עָשָׂ֕ה | ʿāśâ | ah-SA |
| אֵ֥ת | ʾēt | ate | |
| all | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| this | הַכָּבֹ֖ד | hakkābōd | ha-ka-VODE |
| glory. | הַזֶּֽה׃ | hazze | ha-ZEH |
