Isaiah 36:8
જુઓ, મારા ધણી આશ્શૂરના રાજા સાથે કરાર કરી લો, હું તમને બે હજાર ઘોડા આપવા તૈયાર છું, જો તમે એટલા સવારો મેળવી શકતા હો તો.

તે પોતાના મિત્ર અને સમરૂનની સૈનાની સામે બોલ્યો, “આ નિર્બળ યહૂદીઓ શું કરી રહ્યાં છે? શું તેઓ આને ફરીથી નવું બનાવશે? શું તેઓ યજ્ઞ ચઢાવશે? શું તેઓ આ કામ એક દિવસમાં પુરું કરી નાખશે? શું તેઓ ધૂળ ઢેફાંના ઢગલામાંથી ફરીથી પથ્થર બનાવશે જે બળીને રાખ થઇ ગયા છે?”
ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 20:7
કોઇ રાષ્ટો પોતાના સૈન્યો અને શસ્રો વિષે અભિમાન કરે છે, બીજા કોઇ તેમના રથો અને ઘોડાઓ પર અભિમાન કરે છે. પણ અમે અમારા દેવમાં વિશ્વાસ રાખીએ છીએ. અમે અમારા યહોવાના નામના પોકાર કરીશું.
