પુનર્નિયમ 25:8
ત્યારબાદ ગામના આગેવાન વડીલો તેને બોલાવી તેને સમજાવે, અને તેમ છતાં તે હઠ પકડીને જણાવે કે, ‘હું તેને પરણવા માંગતો નથી.’

Then the elders	וְקָֽרְאוּ	wĕqārĕʾû	veh-KA-reh-oo
of his city	ל֥וֹ	lô	loh
call shall	זִקְנֵֽי	ziqnê	zeek-NAY
him, and speak	עִיר֖וֹ	ʿîrô	ee-ROH
unto	וְדִבְּר֣וּ	wĕdibbĕrû	veh-dee-beh-ROO
stand he if and him:	אֵלָ֑יו	ʾēlāyw	ay-LAV
to it, and say,	וְעָמַ֣ד	wĕʿāmad	veh-ah-MAHD
like I	וְאָמַ֔ר	wĕʾāmar	veh-ah-MAHR
not	לֹ֥א	lōʾ	loh
to take	חָפַ֖צְתִּי	ḥāpaṣtî	ha-FAHTS-tee
her;	לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃	lĕqaḥtāh	leh-kahk-TA
