આથી ગાલીલથી તથા દશનગરથીતથા યરૂશાલેમથી તથા યહૂદિયાથી અને યર્દન નદી પારનો મોટો લોકસમુદાય તેની પાછળ ગયો.

વિશ્રામવારના દિવસે ઈસુએ સભાસ્થાનમાં ઉપદેશ આપ્યો. ઘણા લોકો તેનો ઉપદેશ સાંભળીને નવાઇ પામ્યા. આ લોકોએ કહ્યું, ‘આ માણસે આ ઉપદેશ ક્યાંથી મેળવ્યો? તેને આ ડાહપણ કેવી રીતે મળ્યું? તે તેને કોણે આપ્યું? અને આવા પરાક્રમો કરવાની તાકાત તેણે ક્યાંથી મેળવી?

ધણા લોકો ઈસુની પાછળ ગયા, ઈસુએ તેમાંના માંદા લોકોને ત્યાં સાજા કર્યા.

ફરોશીઓ શું કરવાના છે, તેની ઈસુને જાણ થઈ. તેથી ઈસુ તે જગ્યા છોડી ચાલ્યો ગયો. ઘણા લોકો તેની પાછળ ગયા. ઈસુએ બધા જ બિમાર લોકોને સાજા કર્યા.

ઈસુ પર્વત પરથી નીચે ઉતર્યો. લોકોનો મોટો સમુદાય તેની પાછળ પાછળ ગયો.

ઈસુએ ત્યાં ઘણા લોકોને જોયા. તેથી તે ટેકરીના ઊચા ભાગ ઉપર જઈ બેસી ગયો, ત્યાં તેની પાસે તેના શિષ્યો આવ્યાં.
