યહોવાએ મૂસાને આજ્ઞા કરી તે પ્રમાંણે આ ગણતરી કરવામાં આવી ત્યારે લેવીઓને ગણવામાં આવ્યા નહોતા.

But the Levites	וְהַ֨לְוִיִּ֔ם	wĕhalwiyyim	veh-HAHL-vee-YEEM
were not	לֹ֣א	lōʾ	loh
numbered	הָתְפָּֽקְד֔וּ	hotpāqĕdû	hote-pa-keh-DOO
among	בְּת֖וֹךְ	bĕtôk	beh-TOKE
children the	בְּנֵ֣י	bĕnê	beh-NAY
of Israel;	יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
as	כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר	kaʾăšer	ka-uh-SHER
the Lord	צִוָּ֥ה	ṣiwwâ	tsee-WA
commanded	יְהוָ֖ה	yĕhwâ	yeh-VA
	אֶת	ʾet	et
Moses.	מֹשֶֽׁה׃	mōše	moh-SHEH
