ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 54

1 હે યહોવા દેવ, તમારા નામે મને બચાવો; અને તમારા પરાક્રમથી મારો ન્યાય કરો.

2 હે દેવ, મારી પ્રાર્થના સાંભળો; મારા મોઢાંની વાતો કાને ઘરો.

3 વિદેશનાં માણસો મારી વિરુદ્ધ થયા છે, તેઓ અતિ ક્રૂર છે, મારો જીવ લેવા ઇચ્છે છે. ‘દેવ છે’ એ હકીકતની તેમને દરકાર નથી.

4 યહોવા દેવ, મને સહાય કરનાર છો, મારા જીવનનો એજ આધાર છે.

5 યહોવા મારા શત્રુઓને દુષ્ટતાનો બદલો આપશે, હે દેવ, તમારા સત્ય વચનો પ્રમાણે દુષ્ટોનો અંત લાવો.

6 હું તમારી પાસે, રાજીખુશીથી મારા અર્પણો લાવું છું; હે યહોવા, હું તમારા શુભ નામની સ્તુતિ કરીશ.

7 દેવે મારી, સર્વકાળે સર્વ સંકટમાં રક્ષા કરી છે; મારા શત્રુઓ પર વિજય અપાવ્યો, તે મેં નજરે નિહાળ્યું છે. 8

2 Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.

3 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

4 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.

5 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

6 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.

7 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good.

8 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
