“તમે ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોને કહો કે, પાછા ફરીને પીહાહીરોથની આગળ, મિગ્દોલ અને લાલસમુદ્રની વચ્ચે બાલ-સફોનની આગળ મુકામ કરે, અને તમાંરે એ જગ્યાની બરાબર સામે સમુદ્રને કિનારે મુકામ કરવો.

મિસરના લશ્કરમાં અસંખ્ય ઘોડા, સૈનિકો અને રથો હતા. તે બધાએ એટલે કે ઘોડેસવારોએ તથા રથ સવારોએ તથા સૈનિકોએ ઇસ્રાએલીઓનો પીછો પકડયો. અને તેઓ બાલસફોનની આગળ પીહાહીરોથની પાસે સમુદ્ર કિનારે પડાવ નાખીને રહ્યા હતા ત્યાં તેમને પકડી પાડ્યા.

પછી પી-હાહીરોથથી નીકળી રાતા સમુદ્રમાં થઈને તેઓ રણમાં પહોંચ્યા. પછી એથામના રણમાં ત્રણ દિવસનો રસ્તો કાપીને તેઓએ માંરાહમાં મુકામ કર્યો,
