Hosea 13 - ASV (Gujarati)

1 When Ephraim spake, there was trembling; he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.એફ્રાઇમના વંશનો બોલ પડતાં બીજા વંશના લોકો ધ્રુજી ઊઠતાં. ઇસ્રાએલમાં એ વંશનું એવું માન હતું પરંતુ બઆલની પૂજા કરવાને કારણે એ લોકો અપરાધી ઠર્યા અને માર્યા ગયા.

2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.અને હવે તેઓ પાપ ઉપર પાપ કર્યા જ જાય છે અને પોતાને માટે પોતાની કલ્પના પ્રમાણેની ચાંદીની ઢાળેલી મૂર્તિઓ બનાવડાવે છે. એ બધી તો કારીગરે બનાવેલી છે, છતાં તેઓ કહે છે કે,”આને બલિ ચઢાવો.” માણસો વાછરડાઓને ચુંબન કરે છે!

3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the dew that passeth early away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing-floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.આથી તેઓ પરોઢના ધુમ્મસની જેમ, અથવા જોતજોતમાં ઊડી જતી ઝાકળની જેમ, અથવા ખળામાંથી પવન તણાઇ જતાં ભૂસાની જેમ કે, ધુમાડિયામાંથી નીકળતા ધુમાડાની જેમ હતા ન હતા થઇ જશે.

4 Yet I am Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt; and thou shalt know no god but me, and besides me there is no saviour.યહોવા કહે છે: “તમે મિસરમાં હતાં ત્યારથી હું, યહોવા તમારો દેવ છું. મારા સિવાય તમારો કોઇ અન્ય દેવ નથી. અને મારા વિના તમારો કોઇ તારણહાર નથી.

5 I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.ગરમ અને સૂકા અરણ્યમાં મેં તમારી કાળજી રાખી હતી.

6 According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted: therefore have they forgotten me.પરંતુ તમે પેટ ભરીને ખાધુંપીધું અને ધરાયા એટલે તમને અભિમાન થઇ ગયું અને તમે મને ભુલી ગયા.

7 Therefore am I unto them as a lion; as a leopard will I watch by the way;એટલે હવે હું તમારા માટે સિંહ જેવો થઇશ, દીપડાની જેમ હું તમારા રસ્તાની બાજુમાં ટાંપીને બેસીશ.

8 I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart; and there will I devour them like a lioness; the wild beast shall tear them.જેનાં બચ્ચાં ઝૂટવી લેવાયા હોય એવી રીંછણની જેમ હું તમને ચીરી નાખીશ; અને સિંહની જેમ હું તમારો ભક્ષ કરીશ.

9 It is thy destruction, O Israel, that `thou art' against me, against thy help.હે ઇસ્રાએલવાસીઓ, જો હું તમારો વિનાશ કરીશ, તો તમને મદદ કરનાર કોણ છે?

10 Where now is thy king, that he may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges, of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?તમારું રક્ષણ કરનાર તમારો રાજા ક્યાં છે? તમારંુ રક્ષણ કરનારા તમારા બધા રાજકર્તાઓ ક્યાં છે? તમે જ તેમની પાસે મારી માગણી કરી હતી કે, “અમને એક રાજા આપો, રાજકર્તાઓ આપો.”

11 I have given thee a king in mine anger, and have taken him away in my wrath.મેં મારા ક્રોધમાં તમને રાજા આપ્યો હતો. અને હવે રોષે ભરાઇને મેં તેને લઇ લીધો છે.

12 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is laid up in store.ઇસ્રાએલના પાપો ચોપડે નોંધવામાં આવેલા છે અને યોગ્ય સમયે શિક્ષા માટે તે ભરી રાખેલા છે.

13 The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for it is time he should not tarry in the place of the breaking forth of children.એના પ્રસવ માટે વેદના-પીડા શરૂ થઇ છે, પણ એ મૂર્ખ બાળક છે, કારણકે સમય થયો હોવા છતાં એ ઉદરમાંથી બહાર આવતું નથી.

14 I will ransom them from the power of Sheol; I will redeem them from death: O death, where are thy plagues? O Sheol, where is thy destruction? repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.હું મૂલ્ય ચૂકવીને તેને શેઓલમાંથી છોડાવી લઇશ, હું એમને મૃત્યુમાંથી છોડાવીશ. તેની કસોટી કરવા માટે હે શેઓલ, તારી વિનાશક શકિત છૂટી મૂક. અરે મૃત્યુ તારી મહામારી મોકલ! કારણકે મારી આંખમાં દયા રહી નથી.

15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the breath of Jehovah coming up from the wilderness; and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall make spoil of the treasure of all goodly vessels.તેના સર્વ ભાઇઓમાં તે સૌથી વધુ નિષ્ઠાવાન ગણાતો હતો. પરંતુ પૂર્વનો પવન-અરણ્યમાંથી આવતો યહોવાનો પવન તેના ઉપર પ્રચંડ રીતે આવશે અને પછી ઝરા સુકાઇ જશે. અને તેમના કુંવાઓ સૂકાઇ જશે અને તેમનો મુલ્યવાન ખજાનો પવનમાં ઘસડાઇ જશે.

16 Samaria shall bear her guilt; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.સમરૂને દેવની વિરૂદ્ધ બંડ કર્યું છે; માટે તેણે તેના અપરાધના ફળ ભોગવવા પડશે. તેના ઉપર આક્રમણ કરનાર સૈન્ય તેના લોકોનો સંહાર કરશે. તેમના બાળકોને ભોંયે પછાડીને મારી નાખવામાં આવશે અને તેમની ગર્ભવતી સ્ત્રીઓનાં પેટ ચીરી નાખવામાં આવશે. એ લોકો તરવારનો ભોગ બનશે.
