Jeremiah 20:4
કારણ કે યહોવા તારા પર તથા તારા સર્વ મિત્રો પર ભય મોકલશે અને તેઓના શત્રુઓની તરવારોથી તેઓને તું મૃત્યુ પામતાં જોશે. આખો યહૂદિયા હું બાબિલના રાજાને સોંપી દઇશ. તે તેમને કેદ કરીને બાબિલ લઇ જશે અને ત્યાં તરવારથી મારી નાખશે.

“ત્યાં તે રાષ્ટોમાં તમને નહિ મળે શાંતિ કે નહિ મળે આરામ કરવાની કોઇ જગ્યા. ત્યાં યહોવા તમને ચિંતા, નિરાશા અને વિષાદથી ભરી દેશે. તમે સતત ભયને કારણે અધ્ધર રહેશો.

“તમાંરા પુત્ર-પુત્રીઓને તમાંરાં દેખતાં પરદેશીઓ ઉપાડી જશે, અને રોજ તમે તેમને શોધશો પણ તેઓ તમને મળશે નહિ, પણ તમે કાંઈ મદદ કરી શકશો નહિ.
