Jeremiah 44:6
આથી મારો કોપ યહૂદિયાના નગરોમાં અને યરૂશાલેમના મહોલ્લાઓમાં અગ્નિની જેમ પ્રગટી ઊઠયો અને તે શહેરો ખંડેર અને વેરાન થઇ ગયાં, આજે પણ તેમની એ જ દશા છે, ઉજ્જડ પડેલાં છે.”

| forth, poured was | וְאַפִּ֔י | wĕʾappî | veh-ah-PEE |
| and was kindled | וַתִּבְעַר֙ | wattibʿar | va-teev-AR |
| in the cities | בְּעָרֵ֣י | bĕʿārê | beh-ah-RAY |
| Judah of | יְהוּדָ֔ה | yĕhûdâ | yeh-hoo-DA |
| and in the streets | וּבְחֻצ֖וֹת | ûbĕḥuṣôt | oo-veh-hoo-TSOTE |
| of Jerusalem; | יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם | yĕrûšālāim | yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM |
| are they and | וַתִּהְיֶ֛ינָה | wattihyênâ | va-tee-YAY-na |
| wasted | לְחָרְבָּ֥ה | lĕḥorbâ | leh-hore-BA |
| and desolate, | לִשְׁמָמָ֖ה | lišmāmâ | leesh-ma-MA |
| as at this | כַּיּ֥וֹם | kayyôm | KA-yome |
| day. | הַזֶּֽה׃ | hazze | ha-ZEH |
