ત્યારબાદ સરહદ કાનાહની ખીણ દક્ષિણ સુધી પહોંચી ગઈ. ખીણની દક્ષિણે આવેલા આ શહેરો મનાશ્શાના પ્રદેશમાં આવેલાં શહેરો વચ્ચે હોવા છતાં એફ્રાઈમના હતા. પરંતુ એફ્રાઈમની સરહદ ખીણની ઉત્તરે હતી અને ભૂમધ્ય સમુદ્રમાં પૂરી થતી હતી.
