Joshua 9:19
તેથી આગેવાનોએ ભરી સભામાં જણાવ્યું, “આપણે ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ યહોવો સમક્ષ એ લોકોને સમ લઈને વચન આપ્યું છે, એટલે આ પ્રમાંણે કરીશું:

| We | אֲנַ֙חְנוּ֙ | ʾănaḥnû | uh-NAHK-NOO |
| have sworn | נִשְׁבַּ֣עְנוּ | nišbaʿnû | neesh-BA-noo |
| Lord the by them unto | לָהֶ֔ם | lāhem | la-HEM |
| God | בַּֽיהוָ֖ה | bayhwâ | bai-VA |
| of Israel: | אֱלֹהֵ֣י | ʾĕlōhê | ay-loh-HAY |
| now | יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| may we therefore | וְעַתָּ֕ה | wĕʿattâ | veh-ah-TA |
| not | לֹ֥א | lōʾ | loh |
| touch | נוּכַ֖ל | nûkal | noo-HAHL |
| them. | לִנְגֹּ֥עַ | lingōaʿ | leen-ɡOH-ah |
