ત્યારબાદ યાજકે પશુનું લોહી આંગળી વડે લઈ યજ્ઞવેદીનાં ટોચકાં પર લગાડવું, અને બાકીનું લોહી યજ્ઞવેદીના પાયામાં રેડી દેવું અને અર્પણની આહુતિની ચરબીની જેમ એની બધી જ ચરબી વેદી પર બાળી મૂકવી.
