યાજકે શાંત્યાર્પણના પશુની જેમ તેની બધી જ ચરબી કાઢી લેવી અને યહોવાને બીજા કોઈપણ અગ્નિના અર્પણની જેમ યાજકે તેને વેદી પર હોમી દેવું. આ રીતે યાજક તે વ્યક્તિને તેના પાપમાંથી શુદ્ધ કરે છે, અને યહોવા તે વ્યક્તિને માંફ કરે છે.

the fat	חֵֽלֶב	ḥeleb	heh-LEV
of the lamb	הַכֶּשֶׂב֮	keśeb	keh-SEV
from the sacrifice	מִזֶּ֣בַח	zebaḥ	zeh-VAHK
of the peace offerings;	הַשְּׁלָמִים֒	šelem	sheh-LEM
shall burn	וְהִקְטִ֨יר	qāṭar	ka-TAHR
and the priest	הַכֹּהֵ֤ן	kōhēn	koh-HANE
	אֹתָם֙	ʾēt	ate
them upon the altar,	הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה	mizbēaḥ	meez-BAY-ak
according to	עַ֖ל	ʿal	al
the offerings made by fire	אִשֵּׁ֣י	ʾiššâ	ee-SHA
unto the Lord:	יְהוָ֑ה	yĕhōwâ	yeh-hoh-VA
shall make an atonement	וְכִפֶּ֨ר	kāpar	ka-FAHR
for	עָלָ֧יו	ʿal	al
and the priest	הַכֹּהֵ֛ן	kōhēn	koh-HANE
	עַל	ʿal	al
his sin	חַטָּאת֥וֹ	ḥaṭṭāʾâ	ha-ta-AH
that	אֲשֶׁר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
he hath committed,	חָטָ֖א	ḥāṭāʾ	ha-TA
and it shall be forgiven him.	וְנִסְלַ֥ח	sālaḥ	sa-LAHK
	לֽוֹ׃
