Nehemiah 9:37
અમારાં પાપોને કારણે જે રાજાઓને તેં અમારા પર વિજય અપાવ્યો છે, તેઓ આ દેશમાંથી પુષ્કળ ઊપજ પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે, તેઓનો અમારા શરીરો તથા અમારાં ઢોરઢાંખર પર અધિકાર છે અને અમે તેઓની ઇચ્છા મુજબ તેઓની સેવા કરીએ છીએ. અમે મોટાં સંકટમાં આવી પડ્યાં છીએ!

| kings the unto | לַמְּלָכִ֛ים | lammĕlākîm | la-meh-la-HEEM |
| whom | אֲשֶׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| set hast thou | נָתַ֥תָּה | nātattâ | na-TA-ta |
| over | עָלֵ֖ינוּ | ʿālênû | ah-LAY-noo |
| us because of our sins: | בְּחַטֹּאותֵ֑ינוּ | bĕḥaṭṭōwtênû | beh-ha-tove-TAY-noo |
| dominion have they also | וְעַ֣ל | wĕʿal | veh-AL |
| over | גְּ֠וִיֹּתֵינוּ | gĕwiyyōtênû | ɡEH-vee-yoh-tay-noo |
| our bodies, | מֹֽשְׁלִ֤ים | mōšĕlîm | moh-sheh-LEEM |
| cattle, our over and | וּבִבְהֶמְתֵּ֙נוּ֙ | ûbibhemtēnû | oo-veev-hem-TAY-NOO |
| pleasure, their at | כִּרְצוֹנָ֔ם | kirṣônām | keer-tsoh-NAHM |
| and we | וּבְצָרָ֥ה | ûbĕṣārâ | oo-veh-tsa-RA |
| are in great | גְדוֹלָ֖ה | gĕdôlâ | ɡeh-doh-LA |
| distress. | אֲנָֽחְנוּ׃ | ʾănāḥĕnû | uh-NA-heh-noo |
