તેઓનાં હૃદય યહોવા પ્રત્યે વિશ્વાસુ નહોતા; તેઓ કરારને વફાદાર નહોતા.

ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોએ દેવને છેતરવાનો પ્રયત્ન કર્યો, પણ હવે તેમને પોતાના અપરાધની સજા ભોગવવી પડશે. યહોવા પોતે જ તેઓની વેદીઓ તોડી નાખશે અને તેમના ભજનસ્તંભોનો નાશ કરશે.
