Romans 5:14
પરંતુ આદમથી મૂસા સુધીના સમયગાળા દરમ્યાન સૌ લોકો મૃત્યુ પામ્યા હતા. દેવના આદેશનું ઉલ્લંઘન કરવાના પાપને કારણે આદમ મૃત્યુ પામ્યો હતો. પરંતુ જે લોકોએ આદમની જેમ પાપ કર્યા ન હતાં તેમને પણ મરવું પડ્યું.આદમ ભવિષ્યમાં આવનાર ખ્રિસ્તની પ્રતિચ્છાયારૂપ હતો.
