આડોસપાડોસની સ્રીઓએ કહ્યું; “નાઓમીને પુત્ર અવતર્યો છે.” અને મહોલ્લાની સ્ત્રીઓએ તે બાળકનું નામ ઓબેદ પાડયું. તે યશાઈનો પિતા હતો અને યશાઈ દાઉદનો પિતા હતો.
