तब दाऊद ने यह सोचा, कि हानून के पिता नाहाश ने जो मुझ पर प्रीति दिखाई थी, इसलिये मैं भी उस पर प्रीति दिखाऊंगा। तब दाऊद ने उसके पिता के विषय शांति देने के लिये दूत भेजे। और दाऊद के कर्मचारी अम्मोनियों के देश में हानून के पास उसे शांति देने को आए।

unto עִם ʿim eem
Hanun חָנ֣וּן ḥānûn ha-NOON
the son בֶּן bēn bane
of Nahash, נָחָ֗שׁ nāḥoš na-HOHSH
because כִּֽי kî kee
shewed עָשָׂ֨ה ʿāśâ ah-SA
his father אָבִ֤יו ʾāb av
to עִמִּי֙ ʿim eem
kindness חֶ֔סֶד ḥēsēd hay-SADE
sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח šālaḥ sha-LAHK
me. And David דָּוִ֛יד dāwid da-VEED
messengers מַלְאָכִ֖ים mălʾok mul-OKE
to comfort לְנַֽחֲמ֣וֹ nāḥam na-HAHM
him concerning עַל ʿal al
his father. אָבִ֑יו ʾāb av
came וַיָּבֹאוּ֩ bôʾ boh
So the servants עַבְדֵ֨י ʿebed eh-VED
of David דָוִ֜יד dāwid da-VEED
into אֶל ʾēl ale
the land אֶ֧רֶץ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
of the children בְּנֵֽי bēn bane
of Ammon עַמּ֛וֹן ʿammôn ah-MONE
to אֶל ʾēl ale
Hanun, חָנ֖וּן ḥānûn ha-NOON
to comfort him. לְנַֽחֲמֽוֹ׃ nāḥam na-HAHM
