सो वह वहां से चल दिया, और सारपत को गया; नगर के फाटक के पास पहुंच कर उसने क्या देखा कि, एक विधवा लकड़ी बीन रही है, उसको बुलाकर उसने कहा, किसी पात्र में मेरे पीने को थोड़ा पानी ले आ।

and went וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ hālak ha-LAHK
to Zarephath. צָֽרְפַ֗תָה ṣorpat tsore-FAHT
And when he came וַיָּבֹא֙ bôʾ boh
to אֶל ʾēl ale
the gate פֶּ֣תַח petaḥ peh-TAHK
of the city, הָעִ֔יר ʿîr eer
behold, וְהִנֵּה hinnē hee-NAY
there שָׁ֛ם šām shahm
woman אִשָּׁ֥ה ʾiššâ ee-SHA
the widow אַלְמָנָ֖ה ʾalmānâ al-ma-NA
gathering מְקֹשֶׁ֣שֶׁת qāšaš ka-SHAHSH
of sticks: עֵצִ֑ים ʿēṣ ayts
and he called וַיִּקְרָ֤א qārāʾ ka-RA
to אֵלֶ֙יהָ֙ ʾēl ale
her, and said, וַיֹּאמַ֔ר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Fetch קְחִי lāqaḥ la-KAHK
me, I pray thee, נָ֨א nāʾ na
לִ֧י
a little מְעַט mĕʿaṭ meh-AT
water מַ֛יִם mayim ma-YEEM
in a vessel, בַּכְּלִ֖י kĕlî keh-LEE
that I may drink. וְאֶשְׁתֶּֽה׃ šātâ sha-TA
