तब वे कमर में टाट और सिर पर रस्सियां बान्ध कर इस्राएल के राजा के पास जा कर कहने लगे, तेरा दास बेन्हदद तुझ से कहता है, कृपा कर के मुझे जीवित रहने दे। राजा ने उत्तर दिया, क्या वह अब तक जीवित है? वह तो मेरा भाई है।

And the children	וַיִּבְנ֣וּ	wayyibnû	va-yeev-NOO
of Gad	בְנֵי	bĕnê	veh-NAY
built	גָ֔ד	gād	ɡahd
	אֶת	ʾet	et
Dibon,	דִּיבֹ֖ן	dîbōn	dee-VONE
and Ataroth,	וְאֶת	wĕʾet	veh-ET
and Aroer,	עֲטָרֹ֑ת	ʿăṭārōt	uh-ta-ROTE
	וְאֵ֖ת	wĕʾēt	veh-ATE
	עֲרֹעֵֽר׃	ʿărōʿēr	uh-roh-ARE

So they girded	וַיַּחְגְּרוּ֩	wayyaḥgĕrû	va-yahk-ɡeh-ROO
sackcloth	שַׂקִּ֨ים	śaqqîm	sa-KEEM
loins, their on	בְּמָתְנֵיהֶ֜ם	bĕmotnêhem	beh-mote-nay-HEM
and put ropes	וַֽחֲבָלִ֣ים	waḥăbālîm	va-huh-va-LEEM
heads, their on	בְּרָֽאשֵׁיהֶ֗ם	bĕrāʾšêhem	beh-ra-shay-HEM

thee, pray I	אָמַ֖ר	ʾāmar	ah-MAHR
let me	תְּחִי	tĕḥî	teh-HEE
live.	נָ֣א	nāʾ	na
said, he And	נַפְשִׁ֑י	napšî	nahf-SHEE
Is he yet	וַיֹּ֛אמֶר	wayyōʾmer	va-YOH-mer
alive?	הַעוֹדֶ֥נּוּ	haʿôdennû	ha-oh-DEH-noo
he	חַ֖י	ḥay	hai
